HI Esmond, thanks for catching us all the way from the Bahamas, yes my friend , here in Singapore we have this thing called the Certificate of Entitlement, which is a cert you need to buy a car, and that costs as much as the car itself sometimes.

Hi Mate, thats correct, here in Singapore we have this thing called the COE ( Cert of Entitlement), which means you can't buy a car without this, and the price of this averages around SGD$50,000.

what the hell dude? how is that legal? can you explain the concept behind CEO, what is it and how can it be so expensive? a 318i here in sweden a bmw 320i is around 400.000 converted to Usd its 57.000$

@@NJHS92And you can only own the car for 10 years. After 10 years, you'll need to top up the COE again for another 10 years. :) And have you heard about property prices here? Lol. A 600 sqft condominium apartment goes for between sGD800 000 - 2 000 000

@@gabrielpalai thats so stupid, in sweden you can own your car until it falls apart or is to expensive to keep road legal, you have to get it checked every year like a health exam but for cars if it fails its off the road until you fix the problem, so if you have an endless supply of cash and really like your car, you can keep it forever, the price of this "exam" is about 40$ and you have to pay a road tax depending on the cars engine size and other stuff and this can be expensive but its only paid once a year and the usual amount is around 140$ for your avergae car and 1000-1300$ for your turbocharged V8 dieselvaping truck. what is that sGD converted to USD?

@@NJHS92 Lol. I know.. Well... read up on Singapore. Without COE implementation, cars on Singapore roads will not move cos everyone will own cars and be on the roads. Cars are hence a luxury here. We've a world class public transport system in Singapore. It really is world class top notch compared to the rest of the world. Do read up on Singapore nevertheless. i bought it, i'm sad to say i regret it but this is my honest feedback. Car is expensive (in south african standards) and its monthly installment in USD is around $640. let me say first it's BEAUTIFUL car and when u drive it people give u compliments and it's pleasant inside out... the reason why i say i regret it that for that price tag it's got NO power whatsoever it's a slow car even when u drive it on sport mode. before this one i had the 120i and it's WAY MORE powerful. this will be my last 318i ever, if i go again for a bmw the last 2 digits won't go below "20" because i really miss that BOOST especially on highways.

You shouldn't regret it bro, i just purchased one and i love it..i previously had a 2014 320i and i also loved that car. Yes i agree with you on the power and the car is slow but if you just want a car that takes you from point A to B with style then the 3 series is the perfect car..very reliable and has no issues at all in terms of maintenance

A 3 Cylinder does not belong in a 3 series point blank, cannot agree more. The 320 and 328i offer way more

​​On the flip side the 318i is cheaper to insure & petrol costs in terms of running than a 320i. 0-60 in 8.3 seconds is still not bad for a 1.5 engine. It is designed to be an eco petrol not a BMW M3.@@stealth_za297
