I really enjoy how these motorcycle retailers provide so much content like this. It's really a value-add for the motorcycling community as a whole. Great business model to fund their free content like the Common Tread videos and blog (which probably doesn't generate much revenue in isolation) with sales revenue. Retailers like Sportbiketrackgear (a great company, too) are also doing it, but it's great to see Revzilla, as the big dog in the industry, leading the way.

Nice one. However, I always fear nitrile gloves to eliminate any potential finger prints you might miss when cleaning the exhaust before it’s first heat cycle. If you don’t those finger prints will end up being a “mark of ownership”…. Thanks Patrick. 👍😎

Cool that they hook you up with a spring tool. A small perk, but it is cool of them. Hopefully the Two Brothers have enough time to continue making parts. That Mexican Armada probably keeps them busy.

Pretty good, I understand why you'd show a full system install because it's more involved. Truth is most ppl will have a slip-on because that is road legal (besides maybe some countries).

Doesn't it harm the engine on long-term? If we remove catalytic converter it would heat the engine up alot and even decreases mileage right? Well am new to motorcycles
@HitmanFPS Жыл бұрын
It doesn’t harm the engine. The average engine will become more efficient by assisting the exhaust flow, with the drawback of being louder. And a tune-up is necessary because your engine will now be running slightly leaner as a result of improving exhaust flow.

@davekreminski94072 жыл бұрын
@@comfortablyunknown700 I saw this video and thought about how to modify the mid pipe to accept the exhaust valve. You would gain back some weight, but you may get back some low to mid-range power, and also have a quit bike in those rev ranges as well. I had a 92 FZR 1000 and was surprised how quiet the bike was when I started it one day without the muffler.
@deejay4837 Жыл бұрын
installing an aftermarket exhaust like this one - full and without a cat - can and does decimate low-end torque due to something called scavanging. Most wont even care, but for those with smaller displacement bikes, you're gonna notice it.

What is the exhaust hanger used in this @ 5:57 in? This does not come with the Two Bros exhaust, but would have been hugely helpful as the fitment (even though bike-specific) on the one for my R7 was honestly garbage. Who makes the exhaust bracket/can you provide a link where to purchase it? Thanks!

I just installed a black widow exhaust on my MT07. I feel as though I have an exhaust leak coming from the headers…on a cold start I think I feel some air if I put my hand near it. The exhaust and engine temp get hot very quickly compared to when I had the stock exhaust. Is this normal or have I installed it badly? Thanks!

What do we do with o2 if there’s no plug on exhausts for it. Do I zip tie it somewhere?
@stumpedtree42046 ай бұрын
Hey I just got a new exhaust on my 23 mt07. The yoshi at2. Wondering if we need exhaust gaskets. I reused my original ones. As the bike had 1500km. In the install instructions it says. Original head gaskets won’t be used. But it didn’t come with any? So do we not need them? Or they just suggest not re using them

Sadly this video will never be something that someone living in EU will ever need to know how to install since they are cracking down HARD on noise and pollution.. Fines here in Denmark starts with 340 $ first time you are caught with a loud pipe and then dobbels and goes up to 2400 $ !

It's pretty much the same process no matter what sportbike you have though, and all the tips that actually make the video useful (like leaving the outer bolts for last, grease on the gaskets to hold them in place etc) are transferrable to any bike. I'm not sure there's anything truly r6 specific in this video.
@byever12 жыл бұрын
There's really nothing specific here that doesn't translate over to another motorcycle.
