"I Remember" is one of the best songs on the album I feel. The interlude allows the lyrics to hit even harder and gives a sick build up.

“I Remember” without the introduction monologue is simply not “I Remember”.

The MOST important song on this album: “John Wayne Was A Nazi” called JW out for what he was. In the early 1980’s when everyone in Punk was yelling “Fukc Ronald Reagan!!!”, it was impressive to hear someone calling out an American Superstar shortly after his death.👍👍

My buddy Jose lived with Dave and Spike from DRI in the early 80s and he told me about having a drum off with Al who, he told me, unlaced his boots and took them off in the middle of a drum solo.

I love the opening of I remember, I remember hearing it first in the 80s when I was in high school and I always thought it drove the song home making the song that followed even more powerful. Plus it’s a warm up for the message of the song! But everybody’s entitled to their opinion, whether they like it or not.

I think if you were around in the day, this is an essential classic. I remember everyone talking about this album for ages & wanting to get their hands on it. We played it endlessly. If you're newer into punk, it's probably more of a cult classic, as there's much more history in between & it's easier to classify as generic (thanks to all the generic stuff that came later).

I don’t know why you are reviewing great punk albums yet pandering to the norm who would have no interest in this style of music.. I was in a political punk band late 80’s early 90’s and you are playing with a raw aggression devoid of actual musical talent to get a message across. MDC are one of these bands so trying to review them for a market not from the scene seems ridiculous to me.. also fun fact don’t compare them with Bad Brains as I love that band, they actually refused to do shows with MDC based on Dave’s sexuality 😊
