@davemonday53812 жыл бұрын
@@donbrashsux wow I must have had the sound turned down. I presumed it was a early YZ400. I have a xt500 and have had TT’s in the passed. They are incredibly heavy. He gets even more respect. I bumped into Jason Rennie a few weeks after he’d jumped 248 ft.world record at the time, in a football stadium. If I remember right from where he started his run he couldn’t see the the take off ramp when he hit the take off ramp he couldn’t see the landing ramp and there wasn’t much run off after the landing theses guys are nut. But he’s a Nice guy He sold me a set of tyres. Told me they where hardly used. I once rode 300 miles to watch Eddie Kidd do his world record I’ve own a few of eddies bikes. Another top guy.

@@donbrashsux the last motocross Yamaha I had was a mx400B 1975 is was a show bike and to nice to use. I have the DT400B and DT250mx both in new condition and the XT500 it’s very tricked up I bought it in Japan. I’ve been looking out for a good 78/ 79 YZ probably a 250. Ho I’ve just remembered there a sr400 brat conversion also from Japan that’s a fantastic little bike. I don’t know how the Japanese tuners get so much usable power out of them it pulls like a train. And looks a 1950s British scrambler. I had a quick look inside it. Trick cam high compression a fancy Japanese electronics open after market filter. I bought for my wife I didn’t realise what a little monster it was at the time. I tried some big jumps for a while. I had a close call when the ramp gave way in the middle when I hit it. It sprang and sent me upwards and slightly to the left I didn’t think I was going to make to the sand landing ramp. I was going higher rather than forwards. I slid down the left side of the sand and walked away. It was a eye opener and I decided I couldn’t afford to have time off work with broken legs. I really do have total respect for these guys.
