My guess on Annabella's trick: As Annabella is walking to Dave, it does not appear that she wears earrings as we see her right ear between the 2:03 and 2:05 mark. At 3:01 and with playback speed of x0.25, the gum will be blown out and then return back into her mouth. During this time, look at the area where her left ear should be and you can see a reflection coming from the clear wire.

I can't decide if she's using a gadget or if she is telling the truth when she says it's done with her lungs. If she has a gadget on the roof of her mouth, that may be confirmed by the fact that she tries to speak as little as possible, and when she says the letter "D" it sounds like her tongue isn't properly hitting the roof of her mouth like any normal person's tongue would.
