I think he has a need to involve his wife in some way. I believe she said to him that he could meet prostitutes and do "what he want", but she could go away because of the children. But before they where born he involved her. Partly. She went to bed and didnt witness the end.

This fits in very well with geographic profiling. Killers do their killing and deposit bodies in areas they are familiar with eg not too far from where they live or work. Incidentally, geographic profiling was developed by a Canada's Simon Fraser University's criminology department in Vancouver, British Columbia. It has become a terrific tool for investigators to eliminate suspects and focus on suspects who live in the crime(s) area.

I can’t imagine the state of fear that would exist in that household just with Rex’s energy and even if they didn’t know what was happening. Those are what he used to communicate with s*x workers. The police arrested him at the time that they did because they knew he was communicating with these workers and they didn’t want him to unalive someone…they were monitoring him

I think Rex would make the most of the time his wife and family were away. Ahead of time he would be preparing to meet with an appropriate sex worker, and then after his wife left he would be launching into action -- making sure he has needed equipment, checking out possible dump sites etc. He would want a few days with the victim in his basement for his own "playtime" torture activities.

IMHO, he was scouting disposal sites. He could walk around on a private gun club's property without suspicion.

I appreciate & respect your commitment to these crimes- and from such a great distance! (therefore: the location name of Islip (@8:41) is pronounced "EYE-SLIP"... I hope this small detail is helpful... & again is stated here to acknowledge & respect the amazing detail that you pursue & accomplish constantly!)... Best Regards!

How can you run a specialty business, with all the scheduling & administrative work, plus have a family including a special needs kid, plus home ownership and car ownership stuff, plus hobbies including target shooting and woodworking, plus owning land in other states, plus professional networking stuff, AND maintain a parallel secret life with burner phones, escorts & murder? I mean just a job and family and house is hard enough to manage & give energy to. Serial killers do stop, though. the Golden State Killer was a one-man crime spree in multiple locations but seems to have quit cold turkey.

I wonder if they can track every time Asa went out of town from 2010 up until his arrest to see what Rex was up to and if any people were reported missing in the area at that time and how many more victims there are because I too don't believe he stopped for 10 years there have to be more sadly.

I know at this stage he is still the prime suspect and everything is allegations but damn, his goose is thoroughly cooked. How the defense team are going to explain all this away, I don’t know. There is no way he is responsible for 6 murders only. There will be much much more. They must be stacking his movements over the last 30 years and looking at all the open cases of missing sex workers and homicides. The man is a true monster of the 20th & 21st century.

The more details that come out about this monster, the more I cringe. I grew up In Manorville, lived on River Rd and my best friend lived on Mill Rd. Every time I see these street names, I want to vomit. We would walk to each other’s houses and ride our bikes constantly in these woods and on these roads. Connecticut Ave connected River Road and Mill Road. If you went straight off of Connecticut Ave, you’d be on Halsey Manor. We were in these areas all the time. I can’t believe this was all going on in my backyard for my entire childhood 🤬
