Dumb comment by Rex and you. The GM and all coaching positions are open. The QB room is a combined 75 years old and over 30% of all contracted players are expiring. It is a FULL REBUILD.
@TonydaGM
@TonydaGM 5 күн бұрын
@yoholmes273 Absolutely not, the Jets have Q, JJ, Quincy, Mcdonald, Sherwood, Fashanu, Tippman, AVT, Hall, GW, Simpson, Carter and a young RB room plus hopefully Corly The positions they need are eadily draftable, TE, Safety, DT, They only need a QB and that would be either Allar or Van Dyke. All they need to do is sign Sherwood, Echols ,Moses and a Corner 2 in free agency. SB contenders in 3 years

‘Confidence’ is all he has. As demonstrated in his time coaching that team. Lest ye forget, Ryan is the guy who coined the phrase “Super Bowl Ready”. And he said it about his Jets, who never got close to the Super Bowl. And within a couple years, that ‘confidence’ - the real name for it is **bravado** - wore off, and Ryan was sent packing. Don’t get me wrong here. It’s certainly not gotten any better since then. But Ryan is NOT the guy to get this plummeting aircraft back to level flight. Ted Striker, where are you? Come and win one for the Zipper

What could it hurt? The organization is terrible. Historically bad. Rex has the 3rd most wins as a jets coach in team history with a 46-60 overall record. Also 2013-2014 he had idzik as GM that can share the blame of how his tenure ended. No r reputable former HC will want to touch this organization while Woody runs it. And a 1st time HC coming in will be just like the last 4 coaches. 3 years and out the door. What do we have to lose? More games? Haha that’ll Happen regardless.

I don’t see how anyone could absolutely hate the idea. Obviously we should analyze everyone we can and reach out to guys like Gruden, Vrabel, Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, etc. But if options are thin, bringing in a guy with former coaching experience who has been successful with us before and hires a good staff, would not be a bad move at all. @ I get that but he’s also been involved with the sport still and has had the luxury of watching from a different perspective. He’s acknowledged that there are things he would have to do differently. I’d also like to add that out of his six seasons with us, he only had a losing record twice with a roster that by the end of his stint wasn’t nearly as good as our current one. I mean, his second worst season was 6-10 and we might not even win six games this year. My point is, while not my first choice, it wouldn’t be a terrible thing. He hires a good staff on both sides of the ball while bringing the core head coach qualities we would need. Not the worst thing.

How many experienced coaches in their right state of mind would actually want to be the HC of the Jets? It's either him or another rookie coach that keeps timeouts in his pockets.

That’s because Rex is a blustering idiot. Recycling old trash will never get the jerks back to where they need to be. How many times is the fan base going to be reeled in by these BS moves?
