Hi Jonathan! They're a lovely rifle mate and they've made some quality of life improvements since this video too. With the Mk2 the fill probe is a proper size (Hallelujah!!) and they've removed the vented shroud for a more traditional and much quieter shroud. They're a great gun if you're into adjustability/tactical gear.

Had one 2 weeks ago, came directly to my door, on opening it up I realised that the safety lever was jammed solid in the open position, even with over 20 pounds of pressure to flick it into safe position, so it went back, decided to spend a lot more and got Daystate revere, I totally lost confidence in the Ixia which is a shame. I have bought 2 budget rifles in the past a raider12 which is absolutely brilliant and as accurate as anything out to 30yards and zbrioa kosak again great rifle, like you I'm a Springer man at heart and have around 30 which are all German and British, I didn't like the idea of getting bottles filled up, bought a cheap compressor and it works great! I like this style of rifle, and am more in the budget to purchase, I have the Kral NP02, and love it apart from the wood I prefer composite bodies but after using it I bought it, it is heavy mind and still working through different pellets to see its best results, but yep the weather has slowed me down as I have another hobby not a cheap one so my rifle fun takes second place but at least a lot of the time where I go I am able to indulge both my hobbies. I think it is as good as my Kral performance wise but a little more expensive my sites are more expensive than the rifle, and due to having two air chambers I get cramp long before the air runs out a pig to air up if I use the pump you get back ache and repetative strain disorder so looking to get a bottle to use. Hi SyncR. The Regime is an excellent little rifle and I definitely look forward to reviewing one. Hey matey! I think that's where these are really going to shine. The build of them is spot on, the only potential cause for concern would be the regulator but from what I've seen from the little MiTo's reg there hasn't been any reliability problems. From what I can see so far Reximex seem to be on a winner.
@aboutthemetal87832 жыл бұрын
It's definitley got my attention, but I don't buy first runs of new to market rifles anymore ( I've learned the hard wary ) When ever I've brought a brand new air rifle that's a complete new model and brand new design I've had nothing but trouble ,logun s16 evo( a s16 MK3 essentially), FX verminator make( very first run) an FX impact mk1( first batch to come to UK market) and a couple of other expensive ( so called high end) ,mechanics going wrong,seals leaking or bursting, with the mk2 verminator accuracy was the issue ,FX had just purchased the smooth twist design from Ben Taylor( former top man at theoben) the .177 smooth twist barrels in sub 12 UK power levels were so bad ,it really shocked me that FX had released a gun to market without paying much attention to the .177 at sub 12 levels . They only tested the higher power models in .177 ,they were great at 18 fpe , but when they were at 11.5 it was shockingly bad ,took me 8 months to finally get what I had paid for, as for the mkq impact, none stop leaking after I'd put 3 tins of pellets through it. It would leak from the regulator,I'd send it back to the then distributor ,ASI,it would be fixed and I'd take it out shoot a couple of mags and it would start leaking in a totally different area of the gun ,not connected or anything to do with the regulator ,it was without doubt the most frustrating disappointing rifle I'd ever owned in my life ,and at £1600 it's not like it was a budget gun,quality control on that rifle was abysmal , the companies only find out what problems a totally new rifle will develop when they go on sale and us shooters start shooting , ive noticed it on every new release from 95% of the manufacturers , from budget, mid range to the most expensive PCP money can buy , so when something arrives on the market I watch it for at minimum 12 months , it's saved me a lot of time and money ,patience is the key when buying a new air rifle .

@@aboutthemetal8783 Sadly I've heard this quite a lot about FX.. they're a very clever rifle but the reliability on them needs serious work. To their defence an O-ring is an O-ring but they just have so many of them in their rifles! I don't at all like attaching a bipod to a small piece of rail that forms part of a small housing with a high pressure bottle screwed into it. Or attaching one to the bottle itself for exactly the same reason. To much going on stress wise in those places. Other than that I think it's quite smart looking. Somebody should start a product line in fore end handguards for rifles with these short little rails in front of the trigger guard. I have a kral np03 that also has a similar short rail.

Pity you didn't try a moderator on the rifle as my mate has one and we have fitted 3 different mods on it and the accuracy is terrible. We shoot 12 inch target cards and with mod fitted it doesn't even hit the card at 25m, accuracy without mod is fine.
@bigdansairguns832 жыл бұрын
Hi Leswado! Hmm.. if three different mods gave the same result I'd be tempted to inspect the thread on the end of the barrel. If it's still under warranty contact Range Right or your RFD and see if you can get a replacement barrel. Exchanging the barrel on the Ixia is an absolute piece of cake. Simply unwind the dial near the power adjuster and the barrel will loosen out. Thanks Leswado and let me know how you get on.

Dan You need to film More Springers/Gas rams , You have had several PCP's which whilst attractive propositions would probably still leave Me feeling cold , this is another one , if You carry on showing Me such excellent PCP's , You might convince Me to own one , don't get Me wrong if cash was no object their would be several of them at My house and probably at least twice as Many Springers as well . That is a damn fine rifle for the price & I take My hat off to Reximex for doing such a bloody good job for so little cost , I've not seen a bad revue yet on any channel , every presenter has Not surprisingly sung their praises. This rifle is probably the most tempting yet even though it's not furnished with with a lovely wooden stock , if it was ,I probably wouldn't be able to stop Myself . Stop blaming Yourself for weather conditions We understand ( or should do ) Your a damn good shot and I noticed that whilst You did the 40 yard wood plugging the plank You put the target on kept slipping to the right of the screen as every pellet hit perhaps that's why We saw some of that stringing . I tell you what's dangerous Richard... and I'm seriously close to adding one to my collection.. have a look at the Reximex Pretensis Walnut. @@bigdansairguns83 I'll be honest with you mate , the least expensive rifle I ever bought was a make r ten carbine , about £800.00, it never let me down, however everything else I've ever owned was over 1200, theoben mfr and ttr1, daystate air ranger, air wolf, huntsman Forrester and as mentioned a grey wolf , the other brand I use is FX , make verminator and impact mk2. But as more companies from Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union countries release rifles that appear to be as mechanically competent as the big names but a lot more affordable ,well it has shown just how much the PCP air rifle industry has improved ( especially in the last ten years ) looking at how most guns now come as standard with a regulator Is something most shooters from 10/15 years back never would have seen coming ,a lot of the now big names in the industry looked at regulators as more trouble than they were worth, most PCP rifles had good performing self regulating valves ( as an example look at the Steve Harper slingshot valve that daystate used on their mechanical actions ) the air ranger and huntsman classic , I don't think FX used a regulator on their rifles like the mk 1 and mk 2 gladiators and verminators , and the royales and cyclone rifles, even air arms target rifles didn't use regulators at first and they seemed to be the go to rifles for hft and target shooting , the only high end rifles I can think of today that don't use regulators is the daystate red wolf and delta wolf ,but that's because they have an all electronic action that relies on a solanoid to operate the air delivery and measurement of required air per shot , I still have an airwolf tactical and the electronics have never once failed me , I'm going to have to try one of the more affordable rifles that are becoming just as mechanically advanced as their higher priced counterparts ,I'm paying close attention to the reximex rifles ,I was considering buying an AGT Vulcan mk 2 but they are over £1300, so this year I'm holding off and waiting to see what the long term reliability of the reximex rifles looks like , if it turns out to be good I can see me buying the same model featured in this video by June/July .

The law actually says any external power adjuster on the MUST only be able to produce the max. 12 ftlb. So it hasn't been removed so don't accidentally increase the power, it has been removed because they are legally required to do so. It's a bit of a nonsense really as any external adjustable regulator is easy and simple to overcome. It just means you have to empty then refill the bottle. It is easier than that on some guns with external hammers like the Shin Sung Career. For obvious reasons I am not going to explain the process but it makes a bloody nonsense of the legal requirements regarding construction. Any Shin Sung owner knows exactly what I mean. Some things really do need to be tightened up in the VCR Act. BTW. I am with you 110% on this style of gun. It all started with the Steyr 100 which, in all honesty is actually quite smart compared to some. Many call the Steyr a 'Meccano' gun, the Airforce and Gunpower style 'Drainpipe' guns and this type 'Lego' guns. You cannot lovingly oil the grain on one of those utilitarian beasts like you can a nice piece of Walnut, Beech or Rosewood and get any form of therapeutic relaxation out of it. To me owning a nice gun is more than just accuracy. I like to see them on my wall racks with that defined grain pattern. How do you get any fun out of looking at black anodised aluminium? I must just be old fashioned. I do have a Gunpower Shadow 2 as I have previously discussed but as you know, not out of choice. Now fettled, yes it is an absolute tack driver with that Lothar Walther barrel but it is absolutely soul-less, a pig to cycle and thoroughly uninspiring. It is just functional.....well it is now the ridiculous valve problem has bee sorted. It was given to me as, so the owner thought, impossible to legalise and impossible to sell. I love a challenge. I spent less than £90 on reg and smaller bottle and voila. Now it's done I may well just give it him back though he hasn't really asked for it but I just do not like it. Now if I had the inclination to source a walnut blank I'm pretty sure I could make a nice job of it, well at least the forestock but that bloody bottle and that awful breech would still be an eyesore. Give me a nice Stutzen....any day.

I thought 5p coin is small so checked its size and it is 18mm in diameter.... From less than 40 meter distance, considering regulator and choked barrel its not that impressive at all. 10mm grouping would be fantastic even without shooting through the same hole. With what you achieved you justify the price of FX, kalibrgun, rti, aa, hw, agt. Close to mid range hunting pcp.

Hi Brat! Considering the outdoor conditions, the fact the rifle isn't run in, the fact that I haven't done a full pellet test and we're sub 12ft-lbs I think that the Ixia did very well for itself indeed. I've owned an AA S410 and loved it. But does it shoot better than an Ixia/Pretensis? Nope. It's prettier and has nicer bluing but it's no better down range. As for FX I currently own a Gladiator Mk 2 and a buddy of mine has an Impact... the Pretensis outshot both. Maybe they were dodgy FX's who knows... but you wouldn't think a rifle that expensive would be "dodgy" nor have an unreliable reputation while these rifles do not... 😉
