It's been 4 months since this review. Are you still using this V1P Max dashcam? Have there been any problems so far?

Yep, still using it everyday all day. As I mentioned in the video I drive for living and I'm all day on the road. Last Saturday it was 95 degrees outside I drove 4 hours total back and forth with my wife to the beach and parked my car under the sun for a little over 3 hours. I was wondering how the dash cam is going react to these hot temperatures...but no problems at all. I hope this will help.

How did you route the rear camera cable? Across the top of the doors or across the cabin floor? Ill have side airbag curtains and am wondering if the cable is enough to go across the bottom?

I ran the cable across the top of the door. Actually remove my door weatherstrips and there is a gap where they are attached. I tucked the cable there. I also have side curtains air bags, but ones you take out the weatherstrip you will be able /at least I was able on my 3 cars/ to stick the cable about the headliner and not messing with my airbag. Did that all the back to the rear window. Now you can't actually see where the cable is going. I wish I was able to attach pictures in the comments section and show them to you for better example. I hope this one helps.

What's the difference with the rexing v1 max vs the v1 plus? I just bought the v1 plus with front & rear camera & bought hardwire kit that came with the motion sensor, I have not installed it yet but want to get a bigger micro SD card at minimum 128GB but also wonder can a 1TB micro card work in this camera also?

Yes the SD card works perfectly fine. I use the one that I'm showing in the video at all the time for this and my old dash cam for more than 2 years with no complaints.

I just bought a V1P-4K and wondering if i should return. Please tell us your experience with Rexing parking mode (G sensor vs time lapse). What is the purpose of time lapse on a dash camera? Rexing, please update time lapse to motion trigger. G sensor should be always on in parking mode. Motion will capture incidents like keying or anything that doesn't involve impact. Is this 2023 or 2013 tech for today's money?

Question: When you turn off the little screen does it stop the recording? Or does it stop the recording when you hit Rec again?

If you short-press the power button this will turn off the screen until you press any other button but won't stop the recording. If you press the REC button, turn of your engine or Press and Hold "Power Button" this will stop recording otherwise it'll keep going.

Nope. The GPS is integrated in the dash cam itself

Are you sure the rear camera has a light? I own the newest Max and it looks like a light, but I've never seen it on. Thanks!

I just checked my car again, because usually my wife drives it and yes it is a tiny red strip of light. Check it again at night. Probably is like that on purpose to not disturb your eyes when you look at the rear view mirror.

The WiFi connection is only between your phone and the dash cam. You don't need internet connectivity...just your phone needs tobe close to the dash cam to be able to connect them one to each. Hope this one help.

Hello. I was thinking about the same thing several months ago, but I haven't tried it yet.

@@jotsy83 The Rexing hardwire kit steps down the 12v from the battery to 5v to the Rexing camera. Need to find out what the voltage output is from the Power Magic Pro. If it's 12v, you could then simply connect the Power Magic Pro between the battery and the Rexing hardwire kit.

I have been told that this model is having freezing issues? Is that true?

No freezing or heating issues with mine I have it for almost 10 months and I live in Chicago, the winters here are terrible.

Do you need a hotspot box in your vehicle to see the camera live while far from vehicle?

I don't think it's possible even if you have a hot spot. You have to use your mobile app to connect to the dash cam and be in close range for the wifi connection. On the top of the your cam should be always ON which means engine running or the camera itself wired directly to your battery. I don't recommend the second method. Probably it will drain the battery overnight.

A couple of months ago I texted several companies asking do their batteries have pass-through technology that you can actually charge the battery and at the same time battery power the dash cam but non of them has it and I stopped looking for it.
