Awesome tutorial, only thing I'd add, if your car has a sunroof the A pillar will most likely be your drain tube location for the sunroof. So keep that in mind, it could be damp in there depending on the drainage of said sunroof.

@@damonstephens2833 see if you can get a fine wire and push it through the tube to clear out the clog. It should flow free. If it’s wet inside the headliner that can cause mold issues.

I know I should have mounted the rear camera while it was powered so I could see the image's orientation, but unfortunately I didn't and mounted my camera upside down. Have you seen a way to rotate the image 180 degrees? Whether it's a setting in the menu or a switch on the camera? Or do you unfortunately have to reinstall?

I believe you’ll need to reinstall it. However, they did include some extra double-sided tape, which is quite handy!

Very good video on how to install this dash came which is the same one I bought my daughter yesterday for her 2017 camry though if I understand right I wouldn't need the additional wire kit if I am to run cigarette wire plug direct into the cigarette plug in correct?

Thanks for the support brother. The camera comes with a cigarette lighter cord, so nothing else is needed. Now if you want to run a hardwire kit to get the camera to work with the car in parking mode then you’d need a hardwire kit. But for basic plug in and go your good to go. @@MrV2u Thanks brother for the info my daughter told me today she doesn't want the power to run from the cigarette lighter so now have to go get same hardware kit you installed which best buy has them but question I have is her car uses the micro low profile fuses does auto zone have them or have to order the fuse line connector wires online? guess if they don't I may be able to run the wires through firewall do a direct connect of yellow wire to the battery & tap in connect the red wire to some wire for turning on assesories near fuse box under the hood, what do you think if I can't get the micro low profile fuse line is this next best thing?

Non existent brother. No point in even try that aspect of the radio. I just pop out the card put it in the adapter and into a card reader and pull the videos. You need more stuff but it’s the only way. They should never even advertise that it has Wi-Fi.

Not at all, I did have to return the hardwire kit for a warranty replacement. Which if you email the company will honor their product. Other than that no problems at all.

The hardwire kit has a motion sensor, it will pick up motion and if anyone backs into your car it will turn the camera on. Fire all your questions away I’m here to help no problem.

How do you start using the camera after hook up

Once you power up the camera it auto starts recording to the default settings. In order to change the settings you need to stop it from recording then you can access the different settings brother.

@@Fabielmejor auto zone or advanced I don’t remember where I found it brother. It calls for 2 but you may be able to get away with the 5. Did you check out my other video on the fitcamx? Wow you're excellent with installing! This was a great video. For a semi truck driver who is really only using the camera for dash vlogging (company already has a camera installed) the hardwire kit is not necessary right? Basically just insert SD card, mount and plug it into the lighter or with the battery cable and the front cam is ready to go? Installing by myself and I suck at this kind of stuff. Thanks!!

You don’t need to hardwire it. Just do as you said and your good to go. Now if your concerned about getting your rig hit at truck stops then I’d recommend hardwiring it. It’s a great camera and the videos are really clear. Keep on trucking my friend and stay safe.

Where did you find a 2 amp micro fuse for the other slot? Does it have to be 2 amp or would 5 work?

Not at all. It’s off unless it detects motion. Then it fires right up and eventually turns off after a set time.

The other fuse was the one that came with the hardwire kit. I think it was either a 2 or 3. I don’t remember offhand.

I’m pretty sure you can run a 256 with no issues. I use 128 with none. The files aren’t that big to begin with, so run with what your comfortable with.

@@a04a27 you can use any brand card. This camera isn’t like a high end DSLR that requires the fastest card out there. You’ll be good with anything you put in it.

Yes sir the 15 amp is for what the circuit calls for on the truck. The 2amp is for the camera itself.

Great Video! Just noticed that the Fuse Tap is only rated for 10 AMPs. Now perhaps that only applies to the wire and not the shroud you plugged the 15 AMP fuse into. Since you only used a 2 AMP fuse for the wire's slot, maybe your set up is safe 🤷‍♂

How u program the parking mode ??? The light in the sensor is on all time?

If the sensor light is on constant you might have wired it wrong. It should turn off on it’s on and when it detects motion it will turn the camera on. I’m having issues with the camera itself. Mine turns on and off constantly and resets the camera settings every couple of days. My best advice is to make sure you wired it correctly with constant on and the other with on with power and if done correctly, contact rexing directly. They will ship you a new unit if yours is bad. Try and make sure you do it within their warranty. Let me know if that helps you brother.

Did you format the card in the camera itself? Did you try a different memory card? What brand of card are you using? Both of those could effect the files on the card.

I’ve seen a wire harness that they sale that would plug into the rear view mirror camera. I don’t know how good it is but it’s a option.

@@ninan3872 if you have a tiny micro screwdriver or even a safety pin you may be able to straighten the pins to make proper connection. Or you can just take the camera back and say it came broken. If you got it from Amazon you can send it back no problem whatsoever. Let me know if that helps you Nina.

You might not have to depending on your car. If you have the same fuse size as the one in the kit no wires need to be cut. Let me know if you need further help.

@@MrV2u I had some help and we determined my car does not use the same fuse size as the adapter that came with kit and they have another kit to purchase separately so waiting for that to arrive then it should make more sense. Also I don’t know why people are cutting and soldering anything it’s not supposed to be that complicated. I mean it’s a workaround when you don’t follow instructions or get the right parts.

I used what came out the truck. I had to use different plugs because my Ram had different fuses. Check for power with a test light brother.
