For some reason i always thought removing a steering wheel would have been more difficult than that. Those fog light bezels look SOO clean by the way ..I know its been awhile Awais but how has the steering wheel held up ? Im not familiar enough with suede but it looks really nice and fits the cars better and Ive noticed when driving fast through the mountains the steering wheel is too small of a grip for my hands. Definitely agree on your assessment of these parts being a must for driver feel and aesthetics.

Yea dude the steering wheel itself is fantastic. The little white marker on it tho , different story haha. I touched it with oily hands one day and it's been yellow since. I gotta get some cleaner for it. The rest of the steering is spotless and still feels great. One of my favorite mods, tbh.

He'll yeah, I'm wondering also when my silvers finally come in, did you have the dampers set different from front to back..like some people run the silvers at 8 damping front and 10 back..DO you suggest something like that or just even setting at both front and back?

@@beaches2mountains230 I tried testing a bunch of different settings during autocross and track. I did like the rear being a bit stiffer. I want the nose to drop a bit during braking so we get a better grip. However I am no expert and just go based on how it feels haha.

Dude. You got BIG ASS BALLS with the steering wheel upgrade. The only caveat is the re-mount and making sure the disc plate doesnt move. Not sure what Subaru will say about warranty if you need service. All good though❤

Coming from a tech. You should have the steering wheel dead center and mark it down with a sharpie. Draw a centered line across (steering shaft and locking nut) this way you’d know the reverse installation is spot on and won’t end up with a crooked steering wheel, and would avoid triple work readjusting. Then Torque to specs. Btw- came across your channel (google search) looking for a new steering wheels. Keep it up

The suede is great! No fiber transfer. However my white center line is already dirty but I think it's because I got some oil on it.

Thanks for sharing! Do you know the fuse location for the LED connector BTW? I am wondering if need to add a fuse to prevent the LED from blowing up....

The fuse is actually supposed to go under the dash in the connector area. I ended up just wirsjf it together without a fuse. I would like to go back and eventually add it but not sure what value I would add.

I actually ended up getting some self tapping screws. I actually have been waiting to do the install because of the weather I planned on doing it this week actually, funny that you ask 😂. There's no way to get rid of the gap because they just don't fit.

Dang…my bumper is off, sitting with those gaps. I’m in STL area too, and did the install this afternoon. Do you think the self tappers will work?

@@donaldsmith8657 that's what I'm gonna find out. I know IIR did something similar but added some plastic brackets maybe? I need to research what they did but I think adding good tappers with some loctite might be the easiest method.

I noticed today (after I put the bumper on of course) that where the bezels touch the bumper cladding, there is an extra ridge on the bezel. I think that is what is causing the gap. I wonder if the inside where it touches the cladding can be sanded?

Im a huge fan of your videos but i wanted some advice. I purchased the same steering wheel from the link you purchased and I can’t seem to align the steering wheel. I was wondering how you were able to align it

What do you mean by aligning ? I just put the steering back the same way I took it off..as in the same position. It has the metal splines so I made sure the steering wheel was straight (visually). This way all I had to do was put the steering wheel back on straight. I know it sounds simple but that's all I did.

Couldn't. I tried for a good half hour. And it just wouldn't click that last clip on the back. Maybe it's something I did? It's not an OEM piece from Subaru so 🤷‍♂️. But it is $200 cheaper so I don't mind it.

I had to add screws to the back of the drls to hold onto the bumper. Bezel will fall out of place while driving. Gete annoying. Hasnt happened since
