Rusty switchblade knife restoration. In this video I showed the restoration of an old rusty knife. I like these knives. This knife has a handle similar to a Roman legionnaire. I decided to restore this knife. I removed the rust, made the mechanism and brass linings. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.

That is a Russian made knife according to research . Probably from the 1980s or 1990s. Possible made in a prison work camp. It is a very good restoration.

loved watching you do the restoration. I liked how you made the brass scales and the look of them. I did hammer finish on Aluminium at Metal Work in school so I was familiar with that process. I think you could has resurrected the original aluminium scales it you wanted to, only one of them was bent!!

9.6 out of 10 - would recommend! I love those pliers at 8:51 - I've never seen a pair like that (not that I know much about pliers). Awesome restoration as always. And I like the part where you neutralize the acid the acid (with sodium bicarb?). 👍 EDIT: now that was a surprise! At first I thought you'd restore an old WW1 shell casing 😂 - but what you did with that was awesome - I huge improvement (IMO) and what I would call a nice family heirloom piece you could give to a younger relative. Very cool result!
