I Turned Trash into a Cool Tool! Rusty Hammer Restoration and Customization

Very rusty hammer restortion. I found this old rusty hammer with a metal detector. I decided to restore a rusty hammer. I removed the rust and sanded all the pits. The hammer weighed 350 grams, after sanding - 188 grams. I turned trash into a cool tool. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.

I've restored three of these riveting hammers. The 300g is stamped very similar to yours. A 200g one that has an old forge mark and the last one is unmarked. I like a slight crown on the smoothing end and the cutting end rounded over.....

So if you’re going to square it up and polish it, why the electrolysis? And the vinegar? Or even the initial rust removal ? It makes no sense…just for a longer video ? Lots of channels do this, why not be original?

It was completely unnecessary to remove the rust since you sanded down later heavily.
