It's not even out-of-the-way greedy. It's just the nature of a combo like umbra + that "duplicate your highest card" 1-mana minion that makes it easy to do

@@Oxxyjoe It's not just that though, the dude's running Cubes (what year is it?) despite the fact he's running N'Zoth and they, together with the Expired Merchant, pollute his res pool. The deck essentially plays with the assumption that 1) it's going to cheat out a Voidlord early with Voidcaller, 2) the Voidlord will live, 3) they'll have the Cube in hand to eat it. They don't even run the Skull to guarantee that the Voidlord sticks around for their turn to Cube it, they just assume it's gonna work out in their favour and run Cube to take that assumption just one level further on the greed scale. It's almost insulting how much that Warlock just presumes things will line up, there's really not much else to Cube there. Do they play a different meta or something? If I do nothing till I land a Voidcaller on 4, I'm dead. And that's assuming I even have the Voidlord to go with it. The sheer gall to run Cube and Umbra in a Secret Mage/Pirate Warrior meta is astounding to me.

And despite all of that, if Umbra lived or if Dane drew a nine lives with the poisoned bat discovered he would have to face ANOTHER N'Zoth. If there is any deck that can survive something like this warlock I really want to know

@@nehen2225 There are a few methods (I don't claim that they are meta, but they are out there) to get an infinite or quasi-infinite number of nzoths. Rogue is primary, with "add X copies of a minion to your deck," but then I'm thinking about how Druid can get like a million hadronoxes. If you are playing shaman, devolve and hex can squash it enough that it hobbles on one leg too

I'm sad umbra was not played more when it was in standard. Cube should have always given you 1/1s instead of the fully statted minion. it would have been less crazy powerful
