The man said he spent $30 a day in gas take that out in a week it is $150 parking tickets was 2 but I bet it average to 1 or less a month so add $20 extra maintenance was $20 a week. So it was $1461 minus about $200 for that week so around $1261 and say taxes takes 15% That is still more than a $1000 after everything in a week. It like having a regular job making almost $60,000 before taxes without a mortgage. Guys remember this is his goal and dream to make it a successful KZbin biz as well.
@chanchanchanchanchan3 жыл бұрын
Don’t forget you can write off taxes for mileage so if you’re doing it as an actual job and using a Honda you can basically pay no taxes at the end of the year and most Honda’s will last 200k miles if you keep up on oil changes and such. (yes you’d still pay taxes but it would be pennies compared to what most working class Americans pay for the amount made)

Remember guys, jose said this a side hustle to give him flexibility in time and cashflow to start a real business. It's not a full time job to do forever. Car maintenance and taxes will eventually get you in these type of jobs. Think of Uber as a loan company. Your goal should always be to cut the middle man and get all the profits coming from the customer. I did uber for few months until my business got off the ground; and I quickly abandoned it once I didn't need the funds anymore.

You want to do uber but maybe you don't want all the extra hassle but realize uber is really flexible work time. I give you a scenario that a lot of people don't think about for regular Uber. If you work far from home already and it is going by a high traffic or metro area. Uber gives you at least 2 destination filters a day so you can set it a bit past your work before you start your work pick up a rider and drop them off if that make you nervous because of the extra time then how about just for when you go home. Minimize actual work time and gas, you were going in that direction any way. Just do 5 rides a week and maybe early Friday night and 1 weekend day you can easily pickup $150 to $200. If they have bonuses and quest in your area and you can do more well it can easily be double that for 30% more hours.

I’m going to break this down, so if you make $200 per day and only work 5 days a week, that’s $1,000. In a year 52 weeks = $52,000. On a regular job, if you make $52,000 a year and only work 250 days, that’s with weekends and holidays off = $208.00 dividend by 8 hours = $26.00 per hour. But you gotta remember, car payment, full coverage insurance, gas oil tires, cell phone bill, taxes. If the tips cover all that alone wouldn’t be bad. This is not bad for someone who is young and healthy, not someone with medical issues because no medical insurance is provided. Just my two cents.

Iver been driving for uber eats for about 7-8 months part time after I quit a full time job i had that was really stressful. Uber eats is really not bad. 99% of the customers are really nice and if you're polite, friendly, show up on time and communicate with them, you can get some great tips. I've gotten 20 dollars cash twice for tips and quite a few 10 dollar plus tips through the app from customers. The most I've made in a day was 230 for only 6 hours of work. I live in Sacramento but recently started driving in San Francisco, which is crazy busy and has amazing promotions. A normal trip without any promotions that is maybe 2-3 miles and 7-8 minutes will get you about 6-7 dollars, but often times uber runs promotions called boost that will pay you up to 2 times the normal fare. So a 6-7 dollar order becomes 12-14 before tip. And you can do 2-3 of those an hour. If you don't mind the stress of running around all day and mindlessly delivering food, then you can make some decent cash. Just remember, you'll be burning through tons of gas and most importantly you owe ALL of your taxes when you file at the end of the year. Since you're an independent contractor, there is no payroll taxes taken out and you owe all federal, state, social security and medicare taxes. So, even if you made $1000 in a week, you technically owe 25-30 percent of that or more in taxes. That's definitely the biggest downside to driving as an independent contractor. Plus, if you get hurt or sick and need to go on disabilty, you're fucked because you didn't pay into that program with regular payroll taxes.

Don't think Uber offers any benefits as far as health insurance or a 401k ... IMO I don't see a point in wasting my life driving around making a $1000 a week while instead could be building up seniority at a company with actual benefits and a secure paycheck .

Yea so you gotta pay heath insurance out of pocket. So I wanna know is people who uber drive full time are they paying out of pocket making their earnings even less

I'm watching this now in July of 2020. Glad that UE has changed it so that you can see the amount and where the pickup and destination are before accepting the order.

I only drive Uber eats while my kids are in school (only 2 hrs at most from 11-1pm bc there’s usually no picks up before 11 and I have to pick up the kids at 2). I can’t hit the incentives bc of the low amount of trips but I’m still able to complete between 4-7 trips in the 2 hrs and average $40 after tips each day. Doesn’t help I drive a v8 suv but I’m still bringing in money. I don’t turn on uberX bc I’m not sure how long a trip will be or where it will take me. On average an Uber eats trip will only be 20mins total and at most 30 mins drive straight back home. If your a stay at home parent this is a great side hustle and once you figure out the best locations and when to turn on/off the app it works out pretty good.
