Meeeeen!... Many years ago, when they were located in Geneva I went to the store and saw some Fulgurex military trains, and they were so incredibly beautiful !!!.

Some of the info both narrated and on the video is wrong. The black and white V2s were proto types and the camoflage became simpler as the war drew on until it became a simple olive drabb. One unusal image from the video was the Viddel wagan road transport trailer. Finally i hope they supply extra loaded V2 rail cars as the trains usually ran with more.

Cool looking set, although near the 5 minute mark I’d have to disagree with the statement that “the V2 was the most powerful rocket to be used in WW1”. I know this is an honest mistake but it just funny to notice.
@paulbislin84717 жыл бұрын
Very, very nice work! Unfortunately the artist used the wrong version of a class 50 engine. It is an engine with computerized number (ending: -0) of Eastern Germany (Deutsche Reichsbahn DR of DDR, the soviet occupied German democratic Republic) used from about 1970 on. The prewar and war time Deutsche Reichsbahn (DRG, later DR) isn't the same like the postwar Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in Eastern Germany. So the numbering and text on the tender sides aren't correct for a WW II engine.
@ReynauldsEuroImports7 жыл бұрын
Yes we know, when we made the video we ran out of era II BR 50 so we used an Era III version.

Good set. But I don't think trucks of the heavy transporter were actually camouflaged. Perhaps I haven't found any photo of such a prototype yet. And one more thing - as were shown in video rocket itself could have been carried by 2 axle wagon or road vehicle. Why manufacturer used 8 axle carrier for the single rocket?

Looks great, but I truly doubt the tarps would have the national eagle on them like that, at least not where the eagle perfectly lines up like a billboard over the load like that.

These are beautiful WW II German Military sets, so detailed & painted. Very nice modeling work indeed, I like it that the loco & tender are both motor driven. I'd like to know where I can purchase the 1:87 scale metal German Eagle Crest w/ Swastika that is located on these loco's ?? I have the decals, metal is much more correct to the model detail. Excellent video showcase of this outstanding historic model German War Train ! Thank You for posting !

The boss needs to buy the videographer a better 'fluid' tripod and maybe a camera with a professional servo zoom lens without auto focus!
@ReynauldsEuroImports7 жыл бұрын
Dear Craig thanks for your advice, do you know of a camera that has that servo zoom built in? Thanks Rey
@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K7 жыл бұрын
Hi Rey, Broadcast quality servo zoom lenses from Canon or Fujinon cost around $15K but for the sort of work you're doing there, a small compact 'pro-sumer' video camera, say with a 1" sensor from either Sony or Panasonic now have excellent lenses built in from Zeiss and Leica. Whilst the 'servo' action of these superb on-board lenses is very good, the 'proportional' smoothness is not as your would expect from the Broadcast variety. Both brand camcorders will offer excellent depth of focus (you need this for model photography) so don't be seduced by Full Frame or APSC cameras as the shallow depth of field beloved by Hollywood will not be ideal in your situation. PS: Good quality, lightweight 'fluid' tripods are now coming out of China (ebay) for around $200. Craig

Hi, the V2 was transported to its launch site empty. It was only filled with fuel once it was upright. So you would not need such a heavy duty flatcar to transport a V2 to the launch site...
@deefenbakerone43694 жыл бұрын
You needed the rail car to be strong as the missile had very little rigidity and needed a rigid trailor to carry it and protect it from shock or jolts whilst moving.

I would be cool if the set was the fully armored locomotive. No one makes them and if you're gonna go this far. With a 3D printer a shell could be easy to blueprint? Like. Someone needs to make the full armoured kriegslokomotive. The set the with the panzer lll turrets and the troop carriers. Like the War locomotive from medal of honor frontline. Sturmgeist's armoured train.

Does this come fully painted in N Scale please?
@ReynauldsEuroImports7 жыл бұрын
No it does not because the V2 Rockets is not produced in N-Scale. We could create an N-scale German train just like this with camouflaged box cars, flat cars and a locomotive. N-Scale also does not have any manufactures that produce tanks and vehicles. HO is the leader in WWII trains.
