The judge that commented on the 'cold' dessert is, Amaury Guichon. He is a dessert master. Look him up on KZbin. His creations will blow your mind! I'm sure he was just referencing that all the elements to the dessert were cold, and without reprieve from that cold the palette cannot savor all the intricate subtleties of a Reynold's dessert experience. Reynold's doesn't need the recognition of winning this show. Their ratings just go up at the mention of him returning to it. Reynold's was a master before he even came to the show the first time. Even Gordon Ramsey recognized his skill when he guest judged the show and he created the 'white' dessert.

In other words, he was using both a chef’s and an artist’s terminology just now without someone explaining to the audience when he meant? Oh dear… Perhaps Reynold understood what he meant. When I was studying art, I kinda learnt that using a word according to a certain field’s practice is like a double edge sword when used for shows in my opinion. Yes, most people who are in the same field can understand you will simply nod their head and such while those who have no clue would be either confused or offended. Looks like saying the ice cream is cold bewildered a lot of people. Culinary is just as hard as art especially since food has to include visual presentation.
