I hope New Amsterdam returns soon. Lauren and Reynolds need to end up together, just like Max and Sharpe. Lauren knows Reynolds so well and he knows her. He's just so bent on fulfilling his plan for his dream job so doesn't see who is right for him. I'm hoping that he will forget this whole color thing and just give in to love.

I like to think of them as platonic soulmates 😌 they remind me a bit of how everyone thought Boyle and Rosa from brooklyn 99 would end up together but they dropped it and they ended up becoming really close friends in the later seasons. I think it would be refreshing to see the same thing for lauren and floyd rather than going for the 'obvious' starting ship. But maybe that's just me 👌

because the writers don't show it..but from their conversations when the show started they always use to hang out then became friends with benefits, she caught feelings, he caught feelings but wanted a black woman then she set him up with Evie. From this scene you see how she said "you remembered" about the restaurant her dad always used to take her to showing this is a conversation they had in the past. but we haven't seen any backstory of their relationship prior to when Max took over the hospital.
