The tranistion point is incorrect in this video for a wing, 2100 to 4000 is for flow in a pipe For a wing, without inducing it by changing the AoA, it is about 500,000, eg the variable is velocity only. To induce it by stalling the wing the transition point is about 50,000. Using the transition value for a pipe and applying it to a wing is common mistake people make when dealing with Reynolds numbers.

hey, Aliya I have a question, please. if a steel pipe with a diameter 0.02 m is used to deliver jet fuel from the tank to the engine of an aircraft. The jet fuel has a density of 900 kg/m3 and kinematic viscosity 5×10-6 m2/s. If the engine burns 1000 kg of jet fuel per hour. what would be the Reynolds number of the flow?

You give an equation for Re, and show a wing at two different angles, but one is turbulent and one is laminar. Yet, you failed to say what in the equation changed to raise Re. (so it is allegedly turbulent). For this reason, I downvoted your video. And so should everyone else.

@@Captain_puckett NO NO NO. Look at the wings in 1:46. The have the same exact parameters, but one is in turbulence because of the angle of attack increased, which is what she should have discussed if she had any actual awareness of the subject matter she's reading about.

@@jason.arthur.taylor she literally did explain it by saying AoA which is all she needed to say because at this point you should realize that Re~u~L/D~CoL/AoA. Asking her to explain why Re changed with AoA (which causes separation) would be circular as Re is by definition the quantification of laminar-turbulent flow. “Re has changed; Why? Because airflow is turbulent! Why? Because Re has changed!” Repeat infinitely…
