Reza argument on Israeli and Palestine undermines the nature of the colonial conflict. how can you say that colonialism has both sides? is like comparing American settlers and the native Americans and present them as two equal sides. why can he not be brave and frame the conflict as it as... A European settler colonialism in the mids of the middle east .

because he used actual skillful communication to simplify what's complex but not leave out the actual complexities in their gist, whereas you're oversimplistically ignoring actual aspects of that complexity, in some strange attachment to really badly miscommunicated ideas about really badly misunderstood realities, either from your own original source of such, or mindlessly parroting someone else's falshoods and harmful BS yes there's European settler colonialism at the center of Israel's development as a state, while also there's literally the opposite of European settler colonialism in key aspects of its origin also...a contradiction, yes, but what isn't both aspects is actual Jewish people, they weren't actual Europeans in origin, nor were they colonialists in origin, when they were in Europe see how it works when you just look at what's real? probably you still don't, because of above-mentioned attachments, like most online commenters who flex their confusion so hard it's really embarrassing yes zionism is essentially naziism at this point, that's the actual parallel that makes it hard to see anything sane from the Israeli side, because it's so corrupted by that ideology -- but Judaism isn't zionism, and they were actually looking at other places for the same purpose, Alaska and Argentina and Uganda apparently? they just happened to get stuck on the worst possible option, where it yes had to *also* be relatively scarce land resources, especially over time as populations grew, and where they had to become extreme hypocrites, and genocidal nutcases, in order to double-down on the BS bad decisions made from the getgo all of that in no way makes it as simplistic as you're trying to paint it, so maybe leave the scholarship to the scholars like Aslan, and have a little humility, til you've actually studied at least as much of the situation as say, me in my very limited non-scholar context, that I have, on this topic, relatively minimal also relative to Aslan (or Uygur for that matter as another non-scholar on this subject, relatively)

He was good but now he has retreated back to his roots , taking refuge i don't get , from wut though..
