Info from the JFK Library website concerning the archival CBS and NBC films discussed in this video: Collection Overview (for the CBS material only): "This collection represents the unique historic value of Columbia Broadcasting Inc.'s archives of audiovisual materials relating to the Kennedy period. It is arranged into five series including Press Conferences, Addresses and Speeches, Television Reports and Specials, Events and Appearances, and Spot News Reels. All footage originally aired on the CBS Television Network, with most including CBS talent. Highlights of this collection include extensive footage of the 1960 Democratic National Convention, the Kennedy/Nixon televised debates, President John F. Kennedy's inauguration, footage of the Kennedy Family's trips to Europe, President Kennedy's Report to the American People on Civil Rights, and coverage of the 1963 March on Washington." www.jfklibrary.org/asset-viewer/archives/tnc The Library's NBC webpage for this donated collection does not include an item-by-item index like the CBS page currently does. I don't think I'd ever get tired of hearing Bobby Kennedy speak.

My God, it’s been nearly 4 years and yet they looked so depressed… Jack was so loved

Very respectful and beautiful footage, David. As always, thank you for having shared it with us. I truly wish that the library had been given a copy of the 11/26/63 episode of Captain Kangaroo, in which the President's life was discussed with children and their parents. The episode, along with thousands of other episodes of Kangaroo, is not known to exist.

I can listen to RFK all day long. His brilliance was phenomenal, his speechs, sheer poetry

Jackie passed thirty years ago this month. My mom a few days ago, often compared physically to her in her younger years. Synchronicity. Love you, mom

She looked good here. I think she got better looking as she aged.

She was only 31 when she became the first lady and in this video she would've been just shy of her 38th birthday.

@@DavidVonPeinJFK hey if you only knew how often I’ve been on your channel you’d be nicer to me, didn’t see that just went right to the video, now that I have your attention maybe you can tell me who were the three men on the steps in dealey plaza you see in the moorman pic and you see them falling to the ground, I read one of them was the dealey plaza grounds guy, names and why haven’t we heard more about them over the years
@DavidVonPeinJFK7 ай бұрын
@stephencabrera9476 My apologies to you, Stephen, for being a little irritated by your first question. It's just that I've noticed after these many years on KZbin that very few people seem to read titles or descriptions at all, and it gets frustrating answering questions for which I've already provided the answer. .... Re: your Dealey Plaza inquiry ---- Only one of the three men on the steps has been positively identified (AFAIK). That man is Emmett Hudson, who was the Dealey Plaza groundskeeper. (His testimony can be found in the Warren Commission volumes and, of course, online.)

@@stephencabrera9476yes! That was Emmett Hudson! He said that the shots seemed to come from behind and left of him, towards the corner of Elm. I've heard another one of the men's last names was Mudd. Can't remember his first name.

@@DavidVonPeinJFK The displayed version of the title doesn't show the full date at first until you expand it so I'm guessing that he only saw the top few words which didn't include the date at first before he looked further. I do understand your frustration with people that don't bother to look at the details.

There will never be another JFK and RFK. But RFK Jr. is as close as it gets.
