I will cheer on the UAF here in the comment section and donate material goods plus cash every month. Personally, I think the UAF is showing considerable restraint and full respect for international law by treating POW like humans beings, whereas in many cases, orcs tortured and executed POW's, which included civilans. @@bangscutter Their sensor systems mean they can spot threats at 10x the distance of a Mig, which means far higher intercept rates when on the defensive, and the same assault rates on the attack. Plus they have much easier western weapon integration, so they are great for long range precision striking. So it makes sense to use their limited supply in the rear.

The big question is how long it will take for Russia to realize that they need to move troops out of Ukraine to meet the challenge in Kursk? It seems like Putin has been trying to deal with the Kursk offensive on the cheap, so that he could continue to gain ground in the Dombas. So Ukraine is figuring that if he thinks he can ignore the situation and deal with it using raw recruits and North Koreans, they will try to disabuse him of this delusion. I hope they are successful soon. Because once those troops are removed from Ukraine, I expect the UA to take back some of their territory. Putin is pig-headedly stubborn and stupid. Let us hope Trump does not reward him.

They have moved troops out of Ukraine to support attacks on the Ukraine offensive in Kursk. The question is whether they will pull enough. The answer is no. Ukraine has already lost the initiative and much of the land it originally gained unfortunately. Russian has too many troops for that to change the dynamic.

This is very cool. I've heard rumblings about the AFU being able to operate in so-called russian airspace, but this is the first direct confirmation I've seen of tactical sorties in the Kursk salient. "Airspace" isn't homogeneous; it's divided into "blue sky" (high altitude) and the "air littoral," the airspace below blue sky at which the AFU is operating and at which close strike missions tend to occur. High altitude is considered safer because the exposure to anti-aircraft systems is limited to those systems that have significant range and detection capability. The air littoral exposes aircraft to a greater variety of systems that are cheaper and tend to be more plentiful. The fact that the AFU is flying sorties in so-called russia, in their denied (or at least heavily contested) airspace, tells us several things, mainly about the level of surveillance and situational awareness the AFU has of the environment outside their Forward Edge of Battle Area (their front). This is through a combination of surveillance drones and human reconnaissance teams. It tells us that the so-called russian rear is at best "non-permissive;" their EW and human surveillance coverage is insufficient to prevent Ukrainian countersurveillance, sabotage, or target identification. It also tells us that the AFU has been able to identify and destroy a sufficient number of anti-aircraft systems (likely, with HIMARS or Storm Shadow/Scalp missiles) to permit sorties in what are probably fairly narrow and still VERY dangerous corridors. These corridors are probably extremely time-limited; they can close abruptly as other systems are relocated to close the gaps in air defense. But they're THERE and the AFU is exploiting them. Anyone with a military background will immediately recognize the significance of this. It's ...combined arms. While the so-called russians are no longer capable of the multi-echelon command, control, and intelligence operations necessary for this to work (and it's doubtful that they've ever been capable of it), Ukraine is DEMONSTRATING that the AFU IS capable of it. It's a very big deal. They are hitting targets in support of ground operations from close in (though not what we would call Close Air Support; they don't have the air frames to do that yet). Contrast this with the manner in which the so-called russian air force conducts strike missions. They're using bombers to release glide bombs WAY in the so-called russian rear, often as far back as over the Caspian Sea, in secured blue sky. We're witnessing an evolution in the AFU's combat capabilities while simultaneously witnessing a DEvolution in so-called russian capabilities as they run out of armor and rely on meatwaves near-exclusively. Thanks, as always, to RfU for keeping us focused on this.

It wasn't a missile which have a streak visible, but the released ordinance and only the perspective with the jet turning away gives the impression of the object being behind the jet.

a Different video shows the Ukrainian mig 29 evading 2 missiles. On the 2nd phone video the other missile can be seen well below the mig flying past also, but not on the video shown by this one. can be found on uatv english "shorts".

The images of Kursk Vostochny Airport, about seventy miles northeast of Sudzha, showed alot of military traffic, though the images' dates are unknown; at least a Coaler, two Curl transports, five Frogfoot, six Flankers, ten Fullbacks, and fourteen Fulcrums. If Ukraine can disable, or even capture the airfield, it should be a major blow to Russian activity in this sector.
