Got mine today! The setup was so easy and seamless. I can't wait to use it, smoking a turkey for Thanksgiving. This cook is going to be amazing! Thermoworks is by far the best in the world!!!

If your iPhone won't let you add the RFX gateway, try doing it on your iPad. I used my iPad to set up everything and then it all worked on my phone too. I'm not great with computer stuff if you can't tell. It worked great after that! Can't wait to use it with my rotisserie!

I received my kit with 2 meat probes. The grill clip was missing for the wired probe but that wasn’t a big deal. The data logging is impressive. It would be nice to have the capability to log more than one probe at a time on a single chart. I unboxed the kit today (Thanksgiving) and used it on my turkey in a Kamado Joe. Set the thigh probe alarm to 165 and breast probe to 150. Worked like a charm with great results.👍🏽

@@west777s this is such a bummer! I was really hoping to have this system by Thanksgiving, cause the plan is to rotisserie the turkey this year. I mean, I still might get RFX by the end of November, but I was hoping to do a test run weeks before the big day, and now I’d just be happy if I got it before November 28th… I ordered August 6th, I think.

How do you charge the sensors?

It's a block that the sensor came in. There's a screw in the back that comes out and it takes a AAA battery.

The probe charges in your cradle that holds your probe - that takes AA battery.

I have my RFX set up, but don't understand how to set up the ambient probe. My RFX gateway and 4 RFX MEATS are in devices but if I plug in the ambient probe to my gateway I don't see it as a choice nor do I see any readings.

So you can't run a session with multiple probes? You have to set up each one individually and swap back and forth between each connected device to check all temps?

Yeah I just set mine up and am disappointed to see this! Hopefully the app can be updated to allow this functionality.

​​@@moonbaseryanthe issue is "sessions" like on a 4 probe signal you can have 1 session and see everything in one graph. Since each rfx probe is it's own device they each have their own session.

How are you supposed to charge the probes? I know you're supposed to set them in their charging base but how are you supposed to charge the charging bases themselves

The cradle charges them when placed back in the cradle. RFX lasts for more than 50 hours on a single 10-minute charge.

@ I just got mine, they're pretty cool. My only complaint is I didn't realize there is a minimum insertion line which is very deep. Too deep to use with chops in the oven like I had hoped for.

I just received mine and am having problems connecting to my wifi network. I use a google mesh system which does both 2.4 and 5g, but i cant manually choose to broadcast on the 2.4 network. Any thoughts?

​@@leodisphillips6371 I was able to get it to work by going outside. Another trick is to turn airplane mode on then off. I feel like it might find the 2.4 network first.

Make sure you enter the 2.4 GHz WiFi name exactly as it has been configured, along with the correct password. The device will not search and find your network automatically.

​@@HockeyGuy_in_STLthe problem is that the mesh system automatically switches between 2.4 and 5g, you can't actually select which one to use. I was able to get it to work by taking the unit outside. As you get further away from the access points, it'll switch to 2.4. I've also read online that turning your wi-fi off/on or toggling airplane mode off/on can work as it might pick up the 2.4 network first.

Just got mine and so far after messing with it for over a half hour can’t get it to connect with our WiFi and can’t get probe to be recognized by gateway!! 😡

Try removing the probe and reconnecting the probe on the app…that’s what worked for me bruh

Look at your devices. The probe is listed separately from the gateway.
