My favorite retro game is Rock 'n Roll Racing for SNES. Amazing soundtrack, addictive game play, old school Blizzard game. My only gripe was that they never made a sequel.

My first retro game I ever played was Double Dragon. I keep going back to it every time. Memories of my brother & I riding our bikes to our local newsagent who had the arcade machine at the front & without fail, used up all our chore money just to play it. Devastated that you had to fight each other at the end (sorry for the spoilers) so horrified that I had to compete against my brother at the end.

For me, my favorite retro game is the original Legend of Zelda...played this game for so many hours as a kid without hints or a guide to figure everything out and eventually beat both quests. Probably my best childhood gaming was spent on this game.

NBA JAM Tournament Edition arcade game, because I actually did win a tournament at the local video rental store. During the championship game, I was heating up going into overtime. I ended up winning by 8.

I'm not sure what we consider retro but I still regularly play Super Street Fighter II Turbo every weekend. I also used to frequent an arcade in a city near me to play on their Third Strike Astro City cabs. So yeah. We can call those my favorite. Street fighter three, third strike-if I had to choose.

@COOLTOY what's the scaling like on the RG350M's 640x480 screen compared to the 320x240? I figure on emulated systems that had native 320 wide resolution it might look ok on both, but I wonder about systems that used non-integer scalable resolutions on 640/320 displays. Nice video cooltoy, i love my rg350m, finally a handheld console dedicated for retro game with really good build quaility. I have lot of favorites on retro, from snes i love their rpgs such as ff 2, ff3, chrono trigger(best game ever), super mario rpg, earthbound, secret or mana, and many more, as for non rpgs, super mario world, donkeykong, zelda, metroid. From sega i love sega/ cd game such as snatcher, lunar series, sonic. Castlevania rondo of blood from turbografx, and the list can go on and on, retro game is unlimited potential.

Thanks for the video; always enjoy production value and reviews! Picking just one retro game is tough. Due to nostalgia though, I like to say Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time as I was ENTHRALLED with that game when it first came out. However, is that really a retro game when it's now out on the 3DS and can we even call it that when it's nigh unplayable these days without the original hardware on hand? One game though never seems to feel out of place all these years later and that is Super Mario 3. Every time I play it, it feels just as fun and amazing as it did back in the day when it first came out. I think it's one that truly has stood the test of time. I know it may seem a cop-out type of answer, but how can you truly argue against it??

Let’s talk Star Fox, Yoshi’s Island (SNES) and other Super FX chip games. Does the lower resolution equate to smoother gameplay for these trying titles? I used to own a GCW Zero which, correct me if I’m wrong, is the same system as this. I know it struggled with these demanding titles. I would love to hear about your experience with these titles!

How much of a loss is the second analog stick in real terms? I’ve not played since the ps1 but had gameboy and megadrive as a kid. Just bought my teenage son an rg351p for Christmas and now considering picking up a handheld for myself and aesthetically prefer the metal cases. Just gonna chuck it in my work bag for lunchbreaks.

this is a bit cliche but： chrono trigger。i think i would prefer 280 over 350 just because of the games i want to play。also 280 just is a better handheld for retro games as far as screen color，buton positioning and sheer size。most retros are 2d and color has to stand out。most retro games doesnt need the right joystick for camera angles and many of my favorite retro games are on handhelds and they are designed to be portable anyways。

Neither plays N64 games well. Both play PS1 games fine as I mentioned in the video. Neither plays PS1 games. The RG280M fits in the pocket better, battery life is marginally better on it as well since it uses a smaller screen. But both units have the exact same battery inside. I don't know what "average sized hands" equates to but these are both perfectly comfortable to hold and play for adults.

I dont even have to watch the video to answer this lol The 350 ofcourse. 3.5" screen is already small enough who wants a smaller 2.8"? Maybe if you have smaller pocket 😁 And dont forget your magnifying glass too 😊 I would say also if you havent got an RG350 yet and really want one get the new release RG350P. Its the same as the M only in plastic shell so way cheaper. If you really want metal and dont mind spending extra on the M then go for it sure. If you have an original RG350 then wait for a version with bigger screen which hopefully would also up the specs a little too. 😁
