I've removed loads of ROMS I'll never use and added the GBA section in handheld but now nothing plays, it goes black screen for a second then back to the game selection menu. I only really use this for GB, GBC, GBA, NES and SNES. I've checked the paths for the opk files like gambatte and regba and it all matches up in the correct case too. Frustrating being able to see all the ROMS but being unable to play a single one

Hi Fonzi, definitely the SimpleMenu frontend, because it‘s still maintained and a very healthy project. Many themes are available for it and it can handle all available emulators. Unfortunately, EmulationStation is a dead project since years and has some bugs that (might) never get fixed. So i can highly recommend you, to stay with SimpleMenu ;)

@@MashTec When I flash the sdcard I get 2 USB drives shown on windows, one around 400MB and another one that "I need to format before I can access it". When I insert the sdcard to my RG350, I only have the MAME32 emulator with only 14 games showing up. Any idea why is that? Thanks!

Hi! I used your guide and worked perfect on rg350. Suddenly the console booted on favorites section (I have 10 games there) and when I press the L2 button just flashes once and doesn't change to the other tabs (consoles, handhelds etc). Any idea?

Once I exit Simple Menu front end and then go start any other program (game, app, emulator, etc), upon exit Simple Menu automatically loads up again. Is there a way that when I exit Simple Menu it doesn't start until I start it again or reboot? Any news on when the Simple Menu - Menu selections of restart and shutdown will actually restart or shutdown the RG350? Again TY for your work on this its a lifesaver for anyone with kids as they can use the RG350 on their own with little to no assistance!

edit the .ini file and rename the psx-emulator (wrong typed in the .ini !). copy your .bin or .pbp roms in the PS Directory an see how doesn´t run :( . Skraper your Directory to generate the .png but also not showed up in the Playstation-Section. Why is it ? no plan

Hey dude, you need to ensure that you have the correct sound settings in your emulator. Go to the emulators sound settings and set the sound quality to 22kHz. Also, check your output device (TV) that it is compatible with HDMI version 1.2 or set it to legacy compatibility. I hope that helps.

Yes, that is the simplest way to do it ;) Still read the changelog of every new version. Major version changes may require to remove the entire created application folder as well.

Thank you so much!!!!!!! mashtec, I've struggled with the stock frontend and self installed simple menu a lot and this way it works just fine (almost). Great work! Only problem I have is some games dont start from the "favorites" menu, instead it shows the ROM-Browser. Mostly when they require fceux. The games itself start from the normal menu, but not from the favorites folder. The function "save rom directory" in the browser doesnt change anything. Does anybody know how to solve this problem????

Yes you can. Just mount the img file on to your PC, so you can use it as a drive and extract the data you need from it.

Hi dude, you can add more games on your own to the sd card if you like to have more games. Just connect the sd card to you pc and add them the systems related folders. Btw. you can extend the partition size of the image if you flash it to a sd card with a bigger capacity.

The program you are looking for would be GParted, the good thing about this program is that you can install it on a flash drive and boot from it and do the entire SD card redimensioning process

Hey Turbilon, unfortunately the RG280V and RG350M are very different to the RG350 and firmwares are not compatible. Mainly because of the different display that is used in 280V/350M compared to the 350. That‘s why firmware, and so the images are not compatible. This specific image is only working for the RG350 and RG350P. Sorry dude! I have a similar video for the RG350M.

Anyone know a site that has NO ROM pre-built images? NOT asking for roms, I have already had every single rom I could evah want since undergroundgamer. com days, pre 2007 ;) But yeah images that have all the box art, screen shots, maybe game audio and video, I just hate scraping for art. have had large gaps when scraping for rg350 and raspberry pi 3b+ with emulation station, wish i could just download box art and screen shots to my computer and simply add them to devices the way it was done with the Hyperspin Project on PC.

If you get one of those pre built images for a pi device with roms, a lot of them have the art and videos for the games for them .. if you use linux, you can read the roms folders on the ext4 partition and they have all the scraped data in a subfolder. (or install a driver to read ext4 partitions on windows, but most of them are buggy from past experience )

Hi Stefano, maybe you are stuck in the Arcade section? Press the B button to get back to the other sections. Here you can use the D-Pad Up/Down to choose between Arcade, Handhelds, Consoles and Apps & Games. Use the A button to get into a section, then use R1 and L1 to choose between the systems in a section.

Hey dude, the RG350 series handhelds are not able to emulate Dreamcast games. If you like to play Dreamcast on a handheld like this, you‘d rather go for a RG351 model. Even though dreamcast emulation isn‘t perfect.

Hi Johnny, i‘m sorry, but the base firmware between the RG350 and RG280V are different. So this image will not work on a RG280V.
