As a ford super duty owner, I have seen the cyber truck around my town and think it is cool. But you are not understanding the excitement u see from traditional truck owners. Many of us think it is cool. Many of us think it is ground breaking design. Would I buy one....no. The functionality and specs offered by it cannot replace my super duty including pulling my camper on long road trips. Problem for tesla will be turning excitement into sales. Cyber truck in its current configuration is meant for people who don't need to tow long distances and only use their half ton for home depot runs. There is nothing that this truck does better than my ice super duty. The thing you will claim is tow short distances due to having more torque but if I need to tow long distances I don't care about towing only 100 miles. Cool truck. Cool design. Exciting seeing the first one. If I wanted a truck for around town and home depot runs I would get a rivian.

I'm looking forward to my first sighting in Dallas! I asked the valet people at the Ritz Carlton about 10 days ago whether they had seen one and one of the guys had seen one driving past (it's obviously in a very nice area of Dallas where people have a lot of money) and took a picture of it, so I know there probably is at least one in Dallas. I remember my first time seeing a Tesla up close, which was in LA while I had just finished riding my first-generation SEGWAY from the Los Angeles side over to the Valley through the Hollywood Hills (so, a rare Segway owner - another revolutionary electric vehicle - had just made a trip that probably no one in history had made up to that point - taking a Segway from LA over to the Valley). When I got into the Valley side I saw the Roadster at a car wash and we both geeked out about each other's vehicle! He showed me the battery compartment and it was so wild seeing the cooling apparatus and all those round "laptop batteries" strung together etc.). Unfortunately, I didn't get a ride in the Roadster (nor did he get a ride on my Segway LOL) 🙂

Can you turn the rearview camera off? That would make me dizzy seeing that on the screen while driving. GM's digital mirrors are even worse because of the location being constantly in my peripheral. I would never use the digital option because of that.

Most top-end ICE trucks and SUVs have a video screen in the rear view mirror that's connected to the rear-facing camera. They don't really need it, but they have it. The Cybertruck needs it, and there's absolutely no reason for Tesla not to do that in this truck. Putting it in the dash screen...adding yet ANOTHER thing to that screen where EVERYTHING ELSE lives on a Tesla...is just lame and/or lazy. That and the fact that they shrank it from the original intent vehicle are my only real disappointments with the Cybertruck. The thing looks so cool. Wish I could get one, but I think the waiting list is like 4-5 years long now. In addition to Windex, I also understand WD40 is good at polishing blemishes and fingerprints out of stainless steel.
