Like your comment, Grace, "We're not changing." Keep taking us blokes on the ups & downs , trial & error of your layout. Along with your product reviews. And yes, there will be more reviews from you guys. Rob & Grace you 2 are the real deal. Love your honesty. Picking up 4000 subscribers in one year for a Utube channel is no accident. Reviews on any and all products I get the comment, but reviewing products you both use and enjoy is the correct way to go. It shares your knowledge and experience to help other fellow modellers. I saw your review and yes you do have to show it as a paid promotion, as you did, as the product has value albeit sent for free. There are a lot of fools out there all too willing to disrespect the efforts of good people. They have very sad lives and even sadder outlooks, poor things. cheers P PS a good review.
@RGJTrains4 ай бұрын
That’s appreciated mate, but yes i never thought of that, reviewing a product we actually use, now all i have to do is get Ferrari to send me a car to review 🤣 We weren’t sure about the paid promotion thing, but clicked it to be safe don’t want to break any rules, can’t say we will do anymore like, as we never ask to review things. Thank you buddy that’s really appreciated

We know your channels are mainly about ways to build a layout the way we might want it, and we already know how to run our trains basically, trolls have their problems they get to vent it like a sucker punch on here then they get blocked hopefully. so well done for pushing on! Rob, most of us think a Ferrari is a Ferrari we never knew about the F40's or whatever other types there are! I just thought there was a red Ferrari or a black Ferrari)p

Thanks Peter, we’ve had another on this channel, they are like buses 🤣, as for Ferraris, Rob is a bit of a car enthusiast, we’ve both worked on a race circuit, and he does have a thing for italian cars

@@RGJTrains In general everything is fine but had frustrating day with the layout. Lost two decoder chips to a power cut in the house which caused a serge. Lesson learnt to not leave locos on the track and also to look into getting serge protection for the layout. How are you both keeping? I popped into your live stream to say hi yesterday.
@RGJTrains4 ай бұрын
Noooo gutted for you, that’s an expensive loss isn’t it? Did you pop in, i am really sorry (Rob) that i missed you mate, yeah we’re ok, plodding on slowly, sometimes too slowly lol, can you not surge protect the entire electric side with a surge protector electric bus? too late now i guess but to prevent next time?
@LetsGo_414 ай бұрын
@@RGJTrains I am hoping I'll be able to get the Class 37 chip swapped under warranty but the one in the Class 68 is two years old so will be out of warranty unfortunately. I've emailed Kevin at Coastal DCC (really helpful chap) to ask if there is anything I can do. According to RMWeb ESU can potentially repair them at a cost but a lot less than £100 per decoder so we'll see. Yeah, I am going to look into it. We have serge protection on the house but not to the shed. I know, DCC concepts do something so I will contact them, however they can get expensive so I will do research and see if there is anything on eBay etc that can help. I guess it's a lesson learnt and a modification for future protection.
@RGJTrains4 ай бұрын
Maybe try just surge protecting the plugs themselves? might be a little cheaper ? just a thought, fingers crossed you can get them repaired, we’re not into dcc so don’t understand all the costs, but can imagine it’s expensive

product reviews look easy but i find that they are kind of hard actually. i think you parked the ferrari behind the guest mansion after you got off the yacht! :D beautiful job with the static grass! :)
@RGJTrains4 ай бұрын
People who know how to do them properly probably make them look easy, but no you’re right, they are hard, lot of time invested. Damn, i will go check down by the first mansion, don’t suppose you remember where i left the keys.

Hi R&G Yes it's nice to run trains, but the scenics is a massive part of the hobby for me and should be just as important as running trains. So you keep going the way you're going. Not had any really bad comments yet but there again only got just over 300 subs. When I get someone who is rude hide them straight away. Stops arguments. I attempt to do very unprofessional reviews, just I like a variety of content. I quite like your grassy area. Also keep your reviews coming. Don't have to do many just ones you enjoy, otherwise your might be making it a chore for yourselves. Great vlog guys, thank you. Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete....

Yeah we’re gonna concentrate on the layout buddy, if more reviews come they come but the channel won’t be ever about that, it’s about railway layouts, however slow and many mistakes they may be love to you both from us
