FidLock water bottle system | Why didn't someone tell me!

+1 i love the fidlock, been going on almost 2 years now 😅. Bottle has been great, but the one cap valve got messes up over time and doesn't seal in the closed position anymore so my ride ends with hydration mix all over the frame 🤦. I Only had the bottle come off one time and it was on a crash at wildcat where the rock hit the bottle directly and snapped the base off the frame. I'd say that was a freak incident as all crashes before and after and the bottle has remained attached.

are the magnets strong enough? wonder if the magnets can hold to the weight of a full bottle and subjected to vibrations and impacts in the trails..

I've had them on my gravel bike clattering around for about 2 years, never had one fall off! Just to say it's not just the magnets that hold them on, they just guide them in. There's some clips in the bottle that actually keep it secure

100% correct. The magnets just help guide the bottle to the mount. You actually twist the bottle onto the mount and it locks in to place. It's the mount that holds the bottle and not the magnets.

There customer service is too notch. My bottle mount broke and they sent me a new one super quick with no questions asked. Great company and super an art solution to a down tube bottle mount.

Awesome review my friend. Best bottle on the market. I actually stripped out one of my bottle mounts on my frame so I used a zip-tie to secure it and its stayed put.

😆 too funny yeah filock is awesome not just this version they have a cpl systems. One u can rachet a regular water bottle which idk why. But yeah I just ordered another in yellow to match and wondering if it's gunna work out with the one up Edc's pump tool..

No, but I have had to get used to connecting the bottle back to the frame. It's pretty forgiving and the magnets help pull the bottle in. Still, I find myself fiddling a little every once in a while to connect it. I think it's more user error but still wanted to let you know.

I love mine, but I will say when I crashed hard enough to fracture my clavicle (which I did), the bottle actually did come loose.

What size Fidlock bottle did you put on your T6? Trying to find a bottle solution for my T7. That frame is super limited on space when it comes to a bottle.

I saw your Amazon video, it looks like you have the 450 on your D6, do you think the 590 would fit? From the info on Amazon the 590 is a 31mm (or 1.2 inches) difference from the top mounting screw. Just eyeballing by the space left over in your video it looks like it MIGHT fit.

What size frame do you have? I have a medium and the 590 does not fit unfortunately. I thought yours was a medium as well, or that 's what it looks like from the picture on your insta, it looks like the bottom of an M.

I knew the product for years, but all our LBS doesn't have that product which took me so long for me to find someone selling that water bottle locally. So I went online, it took a month for me to save money just to buy that cool water bottle. And now i'm using it for months👍👍👍 (i also have an unboxing video on that😅😁)
