i originally thought so too but it was actually modeled after the methuss , the regz, and the jegan, however it also says that it was also developed from the z2 gundam but it never was shown in any form of media so it mostly took after the first 3 i mentioned

Kinda hard, rezel are mostly used in the space. And we have anksha as the same positioning machine.

It's crazy that it took E.F almost 10+ years to develop a mass production variant of the Zeta that wasn't hot shit... Meanwhile it took Karaba only a few months to not only design but mass produce a Zeta

the main issue is that zeta variant is much more expensive compared to the regular unit. of course you can call zeta pluss, bawoo, and theta gundam as mass production of zeta gundam. making mobile suit like that is very easy when you have money, but their glaring issue is that they cost so much to produce, difficult to maintain, and expensive to operate. earth federation wanted more affordable and more reliable mass production zeta gundam. thats why its took so long to make RGZ.

@@ilhamwijayanto1341Maintenance as well. Zeta types, transforming MS in general need extensive maintenance. Thats why the ReZEL uses the Methuss’s simplified transformation.
