Rhaenyra's own council is not sure whether to believe her. Daemon chooses violence and he wants to start a war. He is tired of this accepting terms in order to protect the peace of the Realm discussions. I believe he said to Blood and Chese to find a different prince if they couldn't find Aemon. And killing Jaehaerys will start a war.

Rhaenyra needs to be tough. Too much kindness will get her killed. I understand she wanna achieve her goals without spilling blood but the greens dont think that way. Aegon said they shouldve just killed her when they had the chance. The greens dont care if rhaenyra dies, they all want her dead except for alicent at this moment. I know killing the baby boy was very wrong. But I am with daemon in this argument. He just wants his house to be strong and not weak. Daemon is rhaenyras best hope and chance to win this war. Yes viserys was a kind king but too weak. He was warned from daemon about the hightowers and he never listened. If he married laena velaryon, there wouldnt be issues like this. Sometimes we cannot predict daemon and he has this bad temper where you dont know what his next move is, but he is right in alot of arguments. If daemon really wanted that throne, he couldve just killed viserys EASILY. Viserys didnt plan to put rhaenyra on the throne. He was trying to have aemma give birth to a son multiple times till she died. He never trained rhaenyra as an heir or kept her close, he procceed to marrying alicent. I also think Blood and Cheese thought that if they cant find aemond, maybe just kill a “son” because its son for a son. I maybe wrong. But thats just what I think 😅

I (Sheim) agree that Rhaenyra does need to show her force. But the problem with Daemon having Aegon’s son killed is that they could possibly lose support from this action. It did nothing to better their cause it literally just fueled the fire. They didn’t eliminate the rider of Vhagar, that was the objective. Daemon made a very emotional decision and for families that haven’t chosen a side yet, might leave a bad impression on Rhaenyra’s side. Even though war has no rules, this will cripple Team Black I think. We’ll see how everything turns out tho👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥

Oh no, no the dowager queen cannot openly be seeing dating call Jess because he’s a hand of the king now because he’s also still the King‘s garden commander, and it had more to do with the fact that he’s not noble blood that he couldn’t marry Rhaenyra. Daemon is the worst type of deceiver. He technically did not lie but he diffidently ordered it. He denied that he ordered them to kill anyone one with Hightower blood but he never mentions that he told them a son for a son. Blood and cheese where pretty sure they needed a son. He also said it was a mistake, not an accident but a mistake. People can do something on purpose but later think is was a mistake and that's what he did. This dude has so many unresolved issues he would fit in with the Greens

Another very good episode. Y do I feel more people r more upset with criston in this episode over daemon who literally had a child killed? It makes no sense to me. Ive been saying this for the longest daemon and Otto r two side of the same coin. They are upset with their kings and queens because neither listen to them, they both want to be in control, and when they not in control they both over step. The only difference between them is that they use different tools to attack their enemies. Daemon uses the blade and otto has his tongue. Anyone else notice the parallel with rhaenyra calling out daemon manipulation in this episode like how Alicent confront Otto with his manipulation in episode 9. But Daemon is a war commander, which Otto isn't. Daemon is a fierce dragonrider which even Aemond admires, Otto isn't. Daemon can lead and inspire men in battle, Otto can't. And Daemon doesn't manipulate, he speaks and does what he wants. He's a rogue, a loose canon, he doesn't care about laws. Daemon is a fucked up person, yes, but he wasn't manipulating Rhaenyra, he just can't be accountable and thinks he's doing the right thing.

And people are upset with Criston because he's a hypocrite, self righteous and does performative moral righteousness. We all know how he is and that's why people hate him. Daemon doesn't do that, people like characters who are transparent and don't hide behind their righteousness. Daemon is also the author's favorite because he's very complex, nuance and layered, which Criston isn't. These two aren't in the same tier of characters at all.

It's clear in the book that Daemon gave the order to murder Aegon's heir, that's what he meant with a son for a son, never mentioned Aemond. Didn't give a rat's ass about the babies either. And now we see his true colors, he wanted to marry Rhaenyra to rule through her since his brother never trusted him and named her heir instead of him, that was before Viserys had sons.

Rhaenyra needs Daemon more than Daemon needs her. He is Rhaenyra's war commander and the most feared dragonrider in the realm. Daemon is loyal to her, crowned her, fought for her, but he just is a loose canon who is very angry

That’s true but like Rhaenyra can’t trust him. He acts on his own accord. It’s hard to go into battle when Daemon (even though he is loyal) is making his own moves and Rhaenyra is the one that is supposed to be calling the shots. Can’t wait to see what how everything turns out!

​The show's writing is warping some of these characters a bit and causing the story to not make much sense i.e. Daemon messing up an assasination and potentially Rhaenyra's political standing But OP is 100% right.
