1:06:57 It looked like enchanting an item increases its value, and Cove bases its shield on its value.

As a fiber optic apologist I think that slotting in fiber optic and ditching the battery, to have the cove power up the scythe might have been a good shout, it would basically make the scythe fire off twice as often, since it'd be getting a 2 second cut every 2 seconds from the cove on top of that, it would be as effective as the battery (4 seconds charge every 4 seconds, compared to 2 every 2 seconds) without ever running out of ammo

Would it be possible to just charge the battery?

59:59 I think fiber optics could have been actually really good here, specially since succulents was already kind of falling off, not enough healing to counter poison and healing runs counter to shield in other situations. But! Fiber optics could have charged your battery, which would in turn charge your scythe faster (basically get 2 really quick scythes in every fight) and when your battery ran out of ammo, I can only assume the "rightmost" trigger would hit the scythe instead which would still be quite good. But even if it only hit the battery I think it could have been good.

Think you really undervalue cooldown reduction you seem to not even consider it when tiny amounts of damage are available. But even a 1% CDR can be the difference of getting your item to activate before your opponent's item. Being able to get your items off before your opponents or even potentially getting an extra cycle ahead of your opponent over the course of a fight is worth way more than a couple points of damage or shield. (I'm not saying small bits of damage aren't valuable, they are and can really help out, just that you seem to undervalue cdr in comparison) I know a player wins ties in this, but just to demonstrate the argument. Say you both have 300 health and a 2 second 100 damage item. If you get 3 damage, it doesn't change the outcome, it still takes 3 activations for both of you to kill each other in 6 seconds. If you get even a 1% CDR, suddenly, you go from tying to winning. Instead of it taking you 6 seconds for the 3 activations it's 5.94. Meaning you get 3 shots in before they can even get the 3rd. So it goes from a 0-0 tie to a 100-0 victory.

I tend to think of things like the pirhana generator, fishing rod, and shovel as supplemental income as the stuff they generate can be sold for profit later.

58:50 If you ever want a good build, you cannot just buff a single item up. You need to play around cooldowns. Fibre Optics is one of those broken items. And if you have the feeling, it doesn't fit your board, make it fit. The difference between 3.5 second cooldown on a 30% max hp weapon or 6 seconds is HUDGE!

56:31 Nooo, don't leave the Captain's Wheel behind. It would give you perma haste on both Scythe (boosting it by the same amount the Battery would, but without ammo limitations) and the Cove (giving you a ton of extra shields) :( 1:00:42 Well, I'll shut up, you did the correct thing. (Although now Fiber Optics instead of Battery would have been amazing) 1:04:43 Scythe enchant would have been fun. It gains shield for a third of your enemy's max hp.

The "hard" early game fights tend to be out of balance and you need a really strong build (relative to that part of the game) to take them on

The eel friend seems a bit iffy, at least for the late game. I mean think about it, you were fighting people who did like 500-1000 damage every time they used one of their weapons, and every time they did, the eel did... 90 damage back. For a LARGE item! Maybe if it was super buffed and/or critting? or if you have a crazy shield build or can synergize with its slow?

Seems to me like Fiber Optics > Battery. Everytime enemy does something eels triggers -2s off scythe vs every 4s -4s (limit 4 ammo). If the enemy activates 8 things in 16s, Fiber wins, and after 16s battery is dead so Fiber pulls farther ahead. Edit: ok, next enemy used big slow items so battery was better there, and the +ammo keeps battery in the game until sandstorm. Rhaps outsmarts me again! 😂 GG, loving this series!

cove gained additional shield because enchanting it raised it's value and it's shield is based on it's value

Seeing how the Scythe critted, I wonder how the fights would look like with that diamond Vanessa Amulet... Also, Fiber Optics could charge your battery faster, but would it keep charging it even if there is no more ammo? Either way, great run!

Question to anyone that might know... Does Eels proc'ing count as a weapon being used to then proc Flurry of Blows? @ 53:00 [EDIT:] 1:07:10 - The enchantment increased the value of the item, so more shield. WOOOO!!! Fiery Rebirth for the win!

Re fiber optics, do the eels being triggered by the opponent count as being used? So in this case, every time the enemy uses any item the rightmost item gets charged?

Heads up, "when you use X" doesn't seem to mean what it intuitively means. I'm still trying to figure out the particulars myself, but it doesn't seem to activate when an item is triggered. These kinds of effects only seem to activate when a cooldown timer completes. This seems to mean that items without a cooldown timer are simply never "used" for the purposes of skills. If you have your eels in the middle of two items and are hoping they'll trigger "when you use a large item, do X," then I don't think it will work. Check out your day 13 battle for an example of what I'm saying.

I am so curiious what the poison enchantment would have done to the scythe Would that do a third of the enemy health in poison?
@PedroLucas-zv3js7 күн бұрын
Wait if you had enchanted the Scythe with poison wouldn't that mean you'd poison an enemy for a third of his health? Isn't that broken unless they have insane healing?
