Imagine have a transcendent talent that shuts everything down in your mind and amplifies and releases the cerebral energy so beautifully and so much so that for a moment he is truly lost in his vibe and most likely barely aware of his surroundings. Truly giving himself to the music and the music he creates rewards him with that experience . Now that’s real freedom What a gift. If we could be so free that we could allow our own creativity out, imagine how we too would feel in that moment. Make way for what matters.

This is what I reach for in life. This true, pure actualization of self. This elevation of consciousness to higher and higher intentional order and abandonment of entropy. When I observe someone like Flea, I acknowledge that maximizing one's existence must be independent of any arbitrary dogma or rules founded by our peers. I observe that a person's expression of goodness takes whatever form resides inside them. A farmer's creative goodness may be their beautiful nurturing of plants to produce fantastic food. A video game developer's might be their deep immersion in their sets of software code to produce magical experiences for game players. Flea's is his music. And all are good.

Okay, so I love me some RHCP and I love me some Flea, too! I've always known that he is a badass bass player (a few of the RHCP concerts I've gone to over the years featured him going off on solos) and also a decent/good trumpet player. This 14-minute piece makes me really want Flea to join a good fusion band when he has time off with the RHCP. While I love his funk stuff, I'd really love to see him explore more of his experimental jazz side of things. I think he'd be great!
