Thanks for the video! You did great job. Tommorow I'll try do the same. I have bmw e83 3.0d and already one week long I see DDE yellow lamp in my panel. Around 1.5 year ago I saw big grey smoke in my exhaust - it seems was automatic regeneration of DPF. But now I have just DDE signal. In the car service guys checked my car and said that my car have 3x times higher reactive pressure in exhaust system ( i guess they used INPA programm for this).

Thanks for video. When I do the regeneration and I'm driving it is flicking from active to not active all the time, I'd say it say not active for 90% of the time. Is this normal?

Would have been helpful if you were explaining what are you doing in terms of ignition. Do you switched ignition off when it asked for terminal 15?

Would you recommend adding any DPF additive in diesel tank while performing regeneration. Liqui Moly DPF Anti Clog or Enviro +DPF Cleaner? Thanks

Mnoz Rai Dpf additives help to ignite the soot and burn it away. Most of them contain an oxide, that decreases the temperature at which the soot is burned away. If your dpf is heavily clogged though, you should consider to replace it, or remove it for chemical cleaning.

It mean I have to use liquid to clean DPF , then use ista to regenerate it after clean. Am I correct?

john Fck wet it’s not mandatory, if it is heavily clogged you should remove it and do a chemical cleaning

Miguel Almeida you have to start driving and keep driving while regenerating. In case you have to stop, the regeneration will continue the next time you start driving.

Has the laptop to be connected during whole process or could laptop be disconnected after clicking on start regeneration.

Sanjeev Joshi as soon as regeneration is requested, you can click on end service function, close operation and disconnect the laptop.

MKAutoTech but you had plugged in your laptop on video . Cause how I can know when regeneration is finished ?

omenik321 regeneration usually lasts from 13 to 30 minutes. Even if you stop driving while regenerating, i it will resume the next time you start driving again. But i would suggest to leave the laptop on at least the first time, just to be sure that it doesn’t stop regenerating for some reason.

Mititelu Rares If you have an automatic transmission, engage D, if it is a manual one, drive normally. For optimum results try to keep a constant speed of around 80-100 km/h while regenerating.
