to indicate someone is going to run under 4 because he made 4.08 “look easy” is like not having any idea how it works. not saying he can’t do it but a lot of good runners make fast times look easy, doesn’t mean they can easily run a lot faster without any problem
@pennypackmtb2542

He ran a 4:01. He's just so close to it, that he has everyone holding their breath, wondering if this will be the race. If he does break 4 minutes, he'll become the youngest ever to do so. And he's not even a Senior yet. So there's a bit of hoping going on. Having been a runner, I do get your point. My best was 4:05

@@pennypackmtb2542 yeah, in no way saying he can't do it, i really just think people need to stop saying "looks so easy" so he can do a lot better. when chep broke both 5000m and 10000m WR he looked pretty easy, but im not sure he could have done it faster.

There's an enormous difference from a 4:08 to a sub 4:00. People run a 4:08 pretty much every year and never run a sub 4 in HS. Not saying he can't do it but how fast do sub 4 HS runners normally run in May?

@@djxcel23 Hi Edward. Yes, breaking 4 min for a mile (1609m) DOES mean something. Particularly for a High School student. It is an Internationally recognised distance. BUT... not for 1600m. As I said, 1600m is a nonsensical race distance that NO ONE except USA High Schools run. No other countries race that distance because it means nothing. It's like racing a 95m sprint race instead of 100m. Meaningless. So many brilliant young High School athletes (M and F) compete in meaningless races like 1600m simply because the US High School system runs them. No Universities/Colleges race 1600m. Just High Schools and ONLY in the USA.

Part of it is also he’s been running since he was like 3 years old, and his dad is a track coach. I believe most humans have the ability to get to a level like this, but for some it takes more time. But in Harrison’s case he’s been working at and taking it serious probably longer than any other high school runner out there. The Gospel: We sin against God and for our sins we deserve hell. We fall short of God’s perfect standard for heaven. But the good news is we have a way to be forgiven, that way is through Jesus. Because he loved the world, he came, lived a sinless life then died on the cross for our sins, paying the price which is death. He was buried and rose again on the third day. Through Jesus we can be forgiven of our sins. If we put our faith in him we will be saved. ✝️
