This looks like a 1600m, not a mile. He has to finish 9m past the start line. Is the track 402m? Do the cones on the turns ensure he runs the extra 9m? Edit: this track is a 440yd track, not a 400m track. full mile for Rheinhardt! Congrats!

4:11 would win plenty states and a lot of classifications. The dude who came in second literally was the Florida 4A 1600 state champ, which is Florida’s biggest classification, and his time would’ve won 1A, 2A, and 3A as well. 4:11 would win 90 percent of lower classifications in basically every state, and would win a big chunk of the large classifications in every state as well. I would also still consider 4:11 to be elite as well. There are people who are better, and some who are much better like Rheinhardt Harrison and Gary Martin, but it’s still an elite time that not many high schoolers even come close to
