Sketching M17 the Omega Nebula at the Eyepiece

It is a great little object. I had a hard time seeing it without the filter due to light pollution. Good luck when you get the chance to check it out!

Very nice sketch of the Omega nebula ... Did you use a UHC or OIII filter to magnify the nebula?

Thank you! I only used an Orion Ultrablock filter to remove a bit of light pollution to help bring out a bit more contrast between the nebula and the sky.
