Nice!! What instrument cable is the red wire? And what 9v connectors do you use? I don't like the kobiconn.

Thanks! The cable used on this board was Evidence Audio Monorail cable as the artist was given quite a bit of it, so we used that. Typically, we use our CA-0678 patch cable on our builds. The DC connectors are just the standard Kobiconn on this board. We reinforce these connectors by potting them with a custom epoxy from our fiber optic department. This helps keep the hood attached + provides a rock solid strain relief system for the connector/cable. In the coming months, however, we will be switching to a more robust DC power connector that features an all metal shell released from one of our friends. More on that to come, though!

How would you compare your cables to something like Belden 9778? Trying to learn more about cables and I hear those mentioned a bunch

Our CA-0446 instrument cable is a bit more flexible than the 9778. The main things about our CA-0446 instrument cable that set it apart are shielding and capacitance. The shielding on our CA-0446 cable is a braided shield. This typically holds a bit better than spiral shielding when the cable is bent or moved. Spiral shielding can widen when bent causing more gaps and openings in the overall coverage. The capacitance on our cabling is also extremely low, rated at 20pf/ft. Won't really comment on sound as that is pretty subjective - but it is a well built cable (made in the U.S.A.) and built to last on the road.
