As a Filipino viewer, I would have to say that the typical Kare Kare served in households here serve Bagoong (a fermented shrimp or fish paste that is very salty) on the side and typically do not mix it into the main dish itself mostly because it will spoil in a matter of hours if done so. You can use Filipino fish sauce (which is a bit more salty than some other varieties like Thai and Indonesian) and mix it into the dish but it's not as typical from where I'm from in the Philippines. Also, it is typically eaten with steamed rice.

When you guys are gone s*** hits the fan in my life. Last Tuesday my dad went to the ER with difficulty breathing and was told he was in congestive heart failure. He is still in the hospital but doing better and might come home tomorrow. Things always harder without you. I appreciate you guys so much thank you for making today better and all my mornings mythical. ( When your gone your not really gone I just watch all you old seasons) Thank you and happy Good Mythical Summer.
