zorth42 I had a great experience at this store (Righteous Guitars) when I bought a guitar. The salesman helped me pick out a few guitars to try, suggested (and helped me dial in) the amps to demo them on, then left me alone in the room. Came back from time to time to see how I was doing. No pressure whatsoever, just help when I needed it. I had a very good idea what I was after when I went in there. I was a very happy customer!

Fun to watch poor Noah (and you Rhett) go through the same travails and indecision and personal justification/rationalization the rest of us non pro musicians go through. I'm going through it at this very moment with a Rickenbacker and the one golden rule is that any other guitar player with no skin in the game will be the "just do it" enabler if only to confirm their own decisions... :)

@ammoalamo64855 жыл бұрын
My saying is always "If that doesn't work I'll go to Plan B." Why? Because even if I don't have Plan B all thought out, unless I'm against a time limit, I can always figure something out, some Plan B. Life always has options, often better than Plan A. Nevertheless, Rhett should get that Fender before someone else gets it, if he really likes it. One caution - used car salesmen learned long ago that a clean car was worth hundreds more than even a lightly soiled one. Today used cars get detailed to add value, and new car lots have a full-time car wash employee. That Fender might have been detailed to get it so clean., making customers think it had hardly ever been used.

when youre buying a guitar or amp or effect its always best to bring the other stuff with you so you get the real tone, there is so many things that effect tone in electric guitars its crazy... i mainly play acoustic and its easy to compare 2 different acoustics, but its always funny how someone tries to show me how their electric guitar sounds and im like ye, ok... but im hearing 50 guitar and 50 amp... even with just these two factors there is limitless combinations then add strings, effects and you got yourself a multiverse of combinations lol

Never tell them your "price range." The best amp I ever used live was a $99 Peavey, 15 watt, single channel, single 12. For the love of god and all that is holy, never transport an amp or cabinet on its back. Every bump and jostle in the road will caused that heavy magnet on the back of the speaker to exert downward pressure on the speaker and could possibly end up tearing the speaker. Always lay your amps and your cabs face down when transporting them if you can't transport them in their upright position.

Hi Rhett. Can I give you some advice? Hard won. If its right, its right. If you have a doubt, there is no doubt. Always, I repeat, ALWAYS, buy the one that's right and shunt the doubts. No matter the cost. HTH PS: Never worry about depreciation when it comes to musical perfection. Every time a musician buys the tools of his trade, he is buying a moment (or several) of fulfillment and perfection. That is what makes him a better musician. Never worry about the money. Money is just money; you can always make more. You can't simply pass on perfection.
