As a RN who has been suffering from RA for 29 years, this is the FIRST lecture in which I much more clearly understand my tx. methotrexate sq (w. Orencia) q week. This was my first video and I’m already looking forward to watching your video series/playlist on Rheumatology. Because I’m not a resident/MD (which is your targeted audience) some of the info was a bit deep but for the most part I was able to follow the info - but don’t test me on it just yet - LOL. Thank you so much for sharing. Blessings!! ❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️

If Gold is history, why are they using Gold particles now using nanotechnology, for instance per NIH/NLM/pubmed testing articles (or already using) in encapsulated pregablin generic?

Methotrexate symptoms I experienced: hair loss, nausea, and liver damage. Plaquenil damaged my eyesight and made me EXTREMELY itchy. Then I was on Enbrel injections once a week but I developed psoriasis and now am on tofacitinib (Xeljanzj and it seems to have few side effects.

Hey, why don't you add the link to the corresponding playlist in the video description? It would be easier to review past videos of the same topic and also discover other stuff you made :) btw great video as always

I just want to ask a question .. why do DMARDs need long time to work ? Does it due to its mechanism of action or due to the difficulty in the controlling the disease ? thank you very much

I noticed he named hydroxychloroquine, but not chloroquine. I can’t take the former, ergo chloroquine. 250 mg MWF and my RA has not been controlled by any meds thus far, so I’m starting infusions. (It starts w/ an “A” like Atr or Art.) I can’t close my hand entirely bc of so much fluid in my joints. I really need the infusions to work. My weekly ferritin infusions aren’t helping my malabsorption, so my expectations are low. (Not iron or iron sat anemia. They just aren’t sure.)

i dont understand one thing , for diagnosis the patient must have symptoms for more than 6 weeks BUT why did the patient wait for 6 weeks and then go to the doctor even if he is rheumatoid patient , normally people wait hardly one week and if the pain not subside then they visit doctor .same applied for rheumatic patient. May be i ask a silly question but literally i dont get it.

Because it won't be classified under autoimmune unless symptoms are short lived. These are pretty common symptoms and there could be other reasons. Meanwhile GP can treat him. Also, it does takes a heck of a long time to diagnose.

I had to wait for 11 months because of my blood test results came normal i have been suffering so bad .uk doctor are very weak at about diagnosis until u felt really ill or going to die 😕
