I’m so glad I found this video. I’m kind of getting back into virtual pets and have been thinking about my first one, which just so happens, was very similar to yours. I think it was blue egg shape with yellow buttons and it was just the cat’s face but grew it’s body parts as it aged. I can’t remember what it was called, but now I know what to look for as a close match!

I just got a Gen 2 tie dye Tama yesterday. I found it in the clearance section at Walmart, and it was the only one so someone must have ordered it and then decided either they wanted to return it or just didn't want it anymore. Score for me though! I'm buying my first Tamagotchi ON today. I'm getting the Magic White one. Can't wait for it to arrive!

I really like this video, enjoyed watching all the tamagotchis meets together, you are missing the blue fairy and I am looking the purple magical to complete my collection. But I dont know if I can buy it in ON or Meets version. What do you think? The ON its for another collection (because it is in english) or are within the same collection of meets? My firts tama was the green magical ON and I still run it.

Yep the only one I’m missing is the blue meets, but I do have the blue some which is exactly the same jus without the Bluetooth. There are only 5 colours for the ON pink, blue, green white and purple I believe. The yellow and an off pink are 2 extra colours for the Meets magical and fairy set. So u can buy the purple in English or Japanese. I personally prefer them in Japanese 1 the packaging is more eco friendly, they’re cheaper and I prefer the battery compartment. It seems like Bandai are going to release an english version of the fantasy soon.

RC Chick thanks for the advise! you are right, the meets version are better, yeah change batteries in the ON its a little messy to do... and in the meets its compatible with the other Meets, like items and change color food. The fantasy On?! OMG! That was a gorgeous new!! obviously I have to have it. I love your tama vlogs! I enjoy the evolution process of your mermaids.

Do you know anything about a yellow Yoshi tomagotchi? I got as a kid late 90's. It might be a fake but I don't know. It just says made in China on the back. And the front has a picture of Yoshi and footprints. The egg also had ridges like yoshi's back.

I used to have a giga pet as a kid and loved it. I happened to be online and see the tamagatchi and oh my did it bring back memories. I'm looking to get my daughter one and it seems the Ons are the newest ones (not familiar with this lol). I heard you say you don't care too much for the On. Why is that?

Yes tamagotchi on is the newest generation of tamagotchi, they’re jus the English version of the Japanese meets. I don’t like the on as much purely for the box, the battery compartment and that it doesn’t connect to as many things as the meets do
