Yeah... Rihannon fo da streets! This song performed on Midnight special live 1976 is so good, it's actually worth redoing it. Stevie is the goat. One of the best rock song writers ever and the only woman (for a very long time, until late 2000's I think) that was inducted into Rock'n'roll hall of fame twice!

"Rhiannon" was a top-twenty hit for Fleetwood Mac in 1976. It was their first single with Stevie Nicks handling lead vocals. FM rock radio stations played the song quite a lot throughout the late seventies. I remember hearing the song for the first time wafting down the hallway at my aunt's house from the stereo one of my older cousins had set up in his room. The year was either 76 or 77, I don't recall exactly. I was nine or thereabouts. This live version starts off slightly uptempo from the studio recording and that pacing fits the coming guitar and keyboard jams well. "Dreams unwind \ Love's a state of mind" -- The enchantment wears off leaving you to wonder if the yearnings for the woman were real or induced by a spell or what not. Rhiannon in history is a Welsh mythological figure, a strong-minded woman who forwent a fixed marriage to consort with the man of her choosing, who withstood false accusations of infanticide when her newborn son was abducted by the enemies of her family, who was widowed, who later married into royalty and went on adventures involving enchantments and such.
