What did you guys think about this one? Do you like the castles and the history? Is this something that you would like to do in the future? Let me know what you thought was the most interesting or amazing part of the trip. Thank you!

I’m not the ass man, I think there’s been a mistake!! LoL. Loved the real White Castle and nuka cola. The Prime Travel Time intro animation was well done. As for the content, very good coverage of a lot of history with corresponding footage to help me as a viewer immerse myself into each spot you went to. The French apparently really enjoyed destroying German castles! I liked the food coverage too……pizza looked amazing. As always good soundtrack to match the serene viewpoints.

That's my "homebase" actually. I was born in Koblenz and now live in Mainz. Inbetween is the most beautiful part of the Rhein - the middle-rhine-valley - with about 40 (!) castles. I went to school in Mainz while I was living in Koblenz, so it was the "Mittelrheintal" by train TWICE a day. Pro tip: Skip Rüdesheim, which is a tourist-trap - not a BAD one, but I think Bacharach has WAY more charme. There is a hostel in the castle, simple but cheap and you can sit on their terrace and enjoy Riesling-wine. If you go from Mainz to Koblenz, downstream, and stay a night in Koblenz - there's a hostel in the Fortress Ehrenbreitstein - you can enter the equally beautiful Mosel-valley with even more castles (Burg Eltz!) and even more wine.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the tips! I'm jealous that you had such an amazing trip to school. It's really one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Glad you enjoyed the video!

Thank you for your info. I loved St Goar too, but Bacharach is high on my list and I will hit it the next visit for sure. Heading down the Mosel, don't forget to tell people to stop in Trier, which is one of the most enjoyable smaller cities in Germany.

Wonderful video , I really enjoyed this. I surely would like to take this float with my friends as well. The hotel looked amazing as well as all of the castles.I made a video last June (2023)of my time in Koblenz . I will return again this June. BTW, I am a brand new subscriber:). So cool my friend:).

Make it happen. Plan it and save for it and by all means don't let the fact that it is in Europe intimidate you. Most people in Europe speak English and learning a few phrases in German goes a long way and they do appreciate your effort. And here is something else, you won't need a car. You can fly into Frankfurt and then use a train to get to Bingen or Rudesheim, on the river. You can book your flight, train, hotel, boat cruise ........darned near everything, in advance and online. I was just there three days ago (am home now) and we planned all of this in advance and it worked great. I think most people let international travel intimidate them. Granted, ti is a learning experience, but the rewards are outstanding.

@primetraveltime5085 I agree and all the different German beer makers in each town ...area ..if you ever get go to Germany again try the mosell river from koblenz to trier ..a narrower river that's just as beautiful maybe even a little bit more than the Rhine, less industry around it

@primetraveltime7 ай бұрын
You're going to love it! I heard Rudesheim is a bit touristy. Hopefully you can take the steam boat that we took and check out the other places. It should turn around and go north/downriver from Bingen and probably stop off where you are.

It is a bit touristy, but that's OK since I'll be alone and I found an apartment with a great terrace to people and river watch. I'll definitely look for the boat y'all took, for sure! And visit some of the castles. Think there's also a wine festival in Bingen during that time 🎉

I just took a day cruise out of Bingen to St Goar and back three days ago. This was one of the best things that I have ever done in Europe. It was on the end of my two weeks trip and it was definitely one of the highlights of the entire trip. By all means, do a cruise down the middle Rhine.
