The company I worked for in Australia offered me a job in Germany back in 2005. I accepted and stayed for around 14 months and my apartment backed on to the Rhine. Every weekend I was off exploring the little towns of the Rhine and Mosel. Looking back now they were some of the happiest days of my life and I do miss Germany, it is so under promoted and underrated. If you ever have the chance to visit then do ....you will not be disappointed!

I lived in Hessen from 72 to 96. I used to go to Bingen and sit and people watch while having coffee and cake. Took a few Rhine River cruises and kayaked on the Rhein. It was fun. I went to Germany every year to see my mom until she passed away. I still miss Germany. Wish I had done more traveling but since it was home and I never thought about returning stateside I didn't travel as much as I should have. Regret it to this day.

Always the downer for me are the souvenier shops, you pick an item you like and find its made in China. It goes straight back on the shelf, I don't visit any country to buy a souvenier from China unless I am in China. There is nothing like finding the local hand crafts.

Tridhos I need your advice. I need to know if I do the same trip from Munich to Frankfurt. how I do that ? thank you.

Erin Maria i think Tridhos is absolutely right. If you visit a country you should support the local. And the locals should sell local goods in touristic places. No matter if it's for the authenticity (?), economy or the receiver of the souvenir... No offence to chinese products. But if i am on a visit to X, i wanna bring home something an honest fellow of X crafted! Souvenirs made in another country are sad, period to me.

I don't know why this video popped up in recommended videos for me ...but I'm sure happy it did.😊 Would really love to learn more about the castles history ...a separate story telling all about each one. From the time it was built to now.Thank you for a great video.🏰🎄

Since there are no coincidences... Maybe germany is crying for you. It's own habitants are not allowed to appreciate, defend or like it in any way. Come see it, maybe you wanna stay ;)
