@valimallinjatka6451 the comments section will have more experience with these. But as I said in the video, these aren't a width I like and I told them not to send it. Furthermore, I don't like installing these aftermarket drivetrains in my rigs when replacement parts aren't easily available. I want standard parts, and aftermarket axles are notorious for being oddballs. These are offset pumpkin. Cant find shafts for the front. Geometry with the link riser looks atrocious. Shall I continue? 😆

@@HolmesHobbies They are actually meant for their sporty kits which is why they seem so strange. They use 6mm output shafts and the parts aren't special. I've been using them on a class2 rig and they have been fine.

@@HolmesHobbies All the parts are available in their shop. Actually thats one reason i chose Rhino - the spare parts availability, compared to US stuff which costs much more ordering from Europe and is out of stock half of the time (DLUX, Exo, etc.)

I dont have the axles, but I do have their 80a esc on an outrunner. It's super smooth and I really like it so far.

I have those axles in my Rhino Yue One V2 (as part of the kit), and I don't always take care of them properly 😂 They hold up very well; I haven't encountered any issues at all. The gears are made of steel and not some cheap material, as they handle the power from a Revolver V3 and withstand all its torque over some serious obstacles 💪 So far, I'm very happy with them.

Yup. Rhino and other "mostly" foreign companies started knocking off good ol homegrown companies ideas. Its no wonder that these same usa companies wont give rhino an honest review even after knocking off some of rhinos stuff. Notice how the crawlmaster v3 looks like that 40a rhino. Holmes wont deny it. But he does or at least did donate a portion of the profits to the openware am32 group to keep innovation going

One positive I can say about the Rhino axles is that the center axle housing is actually machined aluminum. While a lot of the knockoff "all metal" Capra clones are a cast center housing. So that is better than many of the others.

You should have broke into them... I've been running them in their Yue kit and so far they are holding up. Mighty real of them as a company to send their product to thier competition for review. It's pretty common to see Holmes and Rhino on the same rig and maybe Rhino knows it. Is Rhino trying to colab with you in some level? Whatever the intentions, seems bold of them to send their product to you.

I did buy a set of those from Ali Express with heavy brass, the difference is my front axle pumpkin is in the middle rather than off set like yours. All hardened steel gears throughout and 24% overdrive. So far they been really good

Worth noting Rhino is made my someone into Crawling, and also currently offer a totally unique chassis, and competition to the HH Revolver and ESC range... Where you can get an AM32 programmable ESC with built in BEC, USB programmer, and crawler specific out runner motor for £90

I've been using these for a while. They are 6061. They have taken quite a few tumbles, one I was sure was going to break the axle, direct hit on the axle from a sharp rock from 20ish ft, but they were fine. Servo arm is junk, but everything else is good. I don't use the battery on axle thing. The brass covers have holes for adding weight, I printed tungsten putty holders for mine.

I have the front. Broke the shorter inner shafts outside and smashed a new one from another half shalf that was broken on the inside. Swapped the diff gears for vanquish ones. They use a metal vanquish style bearing holder inside. I think they are a vp capra axel knockoff. Haven't tried stock capra portal boxes or gears yet or confirmed if vp /incision capra half shafts will fit but I'd like to find out

@Island-RC weird tolerances and lack of parts support is why I don't install off brand drivetrain into my rigs. I'd be interested if vp shafts fit!

RhinoCrawler designed For Axial Capra Offset Axles (VP Verson) Upgrade Kit, due to the original shafts and gears are weak, so Rhinocrawler production Hardened Shafts Gears by 40CR and 20CR material, Nitriding and hardening treatment. I'm going to order vp half shafts to see. I can confirm the diff and bearing holders will fit in my vrd axles

I also have the Rhino LCG RTR and they look pretty good to me , You should have opened them up, Price for them is not the cheapest and not the most expensive, some where in the $250 range

@OGRadGrow that's about mid range. My real concern is lack of parts support and aftermarket axles tend to be a little weird on tolerance vs stock. I don't run anything aftermarket on axles except VP and supershafty for this reason.

Ive looked at these for a Rhino shafty build but they seemed pricey in comparison to some of the other options out there. They dont look bad, but they seem to be mostly designed for their Rhino Yue One chassis kit builds as a shafty cheater style crawler.

Not these axles but I bought some straight from China AR 60 axles for what equates to around $150 by the end of it, only ran them once because the axle shafts bent in the first 5 minutes of use. I now am having to machine my own shafts because in true China fashion they did use anything as standard that fits from anything else.... most expensive cheap axles ever. Should have bought some Vanquish axles and imported those to my country instead.
