@DarronSandersonАй бұрын
@RobertByrd-r2n very well said. OMG, Headbangers ball was the source! I like 80s rock, but also loved the 80s "New Wave", mostly from the UK. Frankie Goes to Hollywood was ahead of their time. The B-52's (American grouo,not UK, you probably know) kicks some ass, on a great sound system. All old school club music. But, to me, rock gives me the most motivation. Yes, I agree Invasion of Your Privacy was Ratts best tape. Out of The Celler kicked as, right under it. (But, since they still used magnetic tape, a.k.a "cassettes"The sound was better with Invasion. Im not sure, but I believd Invasion had more top hits, on Billboard. When I was American military, living in Germany, (1993) I so wanted to see Monsters of Rock, but I could not get those days off. Not sure if Ratt was on that tour, but I believe Ozzy was. God, Ozzy live would be inspirational!
@RobertByrd-r2nАй бұрын
@DarronSanderson well ratt was definitely out in the very early 80s I love them so much I still have their records on vinyl album form after buying so many cassette tapes and having them get destroyed by useless cheap boom boxes or what new York city rapper's call ghetto blasters i went over to cds instead but even after so many times of playing cds looses that rich sound that only a record album can produce so well I lived the 80s generation like you did too I think it's pretty awesome you was in the military and in Germany too serving your country so well but you know without the Beatles invasion from the United Kingdom itself other music artists wouldn't be here today too my mother is nuts over the b-52s herself she came from the day's of the 1960s and even wore flower power dresses too the one thing that really hurt me most is whenever hair metal bands actually burned up lot's of disco records from the 1970s Era too ratt toured with ozzy Osborne motley crue Cinderella and Lita Ford and Joan Jett too the queen's of metal too as well as well as the band Europe too if only for one time I wished that metal artist would've done a video or album like the one done for USA aid for Africa too with miss Tina Turner Daryl hall and John oats Cindy lauder boy George and many more too metal bands should embrace all music because as miss Madonna says music makes the people come together too just imagine if you will if the voice of the late John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono was never heard too?

2:56 The way Warren rides those bends, and the phrase ends on that pickardy 3rd with the vibrato on it, man so cool and so very vocal sounding. Really making the lead part sing in the intro to that solo... And then it opens up to some nice shredding with those runs! With the chromaticism.. He plays almost like a jazz horn player would. He's a true musicians musician, the real deal. Not just a guitar God, he's got true chops. I always think Warren was their musical backbone, without a doubt.

There was lots of touching and flirting back then, no phones around to take video of anything Much less immediate distractions, no girls texting, or distracted by phones at all - when you flirted with them I was good looking back then and i'd often just start rubbing up against girls i met at work in the mall , if they showed the slightest attraction Life was very different then , you never worried about someone saying much , young girls would put their hands in my pockets. lots of physical interactions
@xajaso2 жыл бұрын
Indeed! I was 17 when this album came out, got to experience the best of the 1980's & 1990's music scenes. Music was everything to us back then. It was A LOT easier to meet bands back in the day, holy shit. No cell phones, what happened backstage, at the hotels, & on the buses stayed there. Magnificent time to be young. Things moved more slowly back then but people were more real with each other, up close and in person. You made plans & kept them. A rock show was a major event, where anything might happen. Not as commercialized & policed like today. Loved every minute. Shout out to the hottie in this video & my 2nd cousin Marianne, Playmate of the Year 1984. Gorgeous

I'm blessed ! What an era for a teenager. All genre were blending without elitism, from early Bon Jovi, Def Leppard to Venom, Led Zeppelin to Anthrax, Saga to Heart back to some Destruction, Yes, Asia, Rush, Alan Parsons Project, Scorpions sprinkled with a bit of pop with Prince, Jackson, Movies' Soundtrack and with the remaining of Disco, Synth taking huge place, New Wave coming, Punk's Not Dead, the musical range was just wide open and cohabitating pretty well. Ages of naivety, innocence, playful, lots of social interactions, physical contacts and great parties. I'm pretty proud of what my tribe and myself had become. Being young adults in the 90's was great too. Carpe Diem !

I don’t play guitar 1 bit I know a guy who I consider to be a really good guitarist. I go over his house, we burn 1 & start bs’ing, I remembered your comment and asked him to listen to this song and then mimic it. He’s got the chops to do it. So he listens and intently watches this same video on KZbin in front of me. He couldn’t get it & I left after 20 minutes of him trying. Next day he calls me up telling me exactly what you said. His respect for Ratt is now huge thanks to you. Says his hand hurt & he finally figured out the tuning. He played me that riff over the phone while yelling “woooooooo” Ric Flair style--He’s a Ratt fan now because of your comment. You, sir, know what you’re talking about.
