I was 17... I was in the hospital. I had been a passenger in a car wreck that broke my back. 😔 This song came on and it was still pretty new. I was up dancing in my hospital room.... I was doing the freak.... and by the end of the song.... me and two nurses and the guy who delivered food was getting DOWNNN in my hospital room. LOL Yeah yeah I know... they shoulda been working and not dancing... but I assure you... that little dance healed me as much as the 6 hour surgery. We should ask ourselves why the big labels and the major producers have been pushing black communities to shift their identity towards such a self-destructive subculture.

@amoreazione3563 Although that's all true, and gangsta rap and such genres that may be perceived by some people as harmful to the general public, have been pushed towards the general mainstream audience more than other genres like jazz, r&b. Although that doesn't mean all the other genres don't exist. Don't get me wrong, my favourite genre is jazz, and my #1 listened to artist last year was Marcus Miller. If you want jazz, you can get it just as easy as you can get gangsta rap, even though it's being pushed to the public more than other genres. You just have to look in the right places.
