Really? I bought this album the moment it came out and listened obsessively for months after, high on pot, whacked on acid, drifting on psilocybin and dreaming my face off on mescaline sulphate. For a year or so after that, I listened occasionally. Then from about 1976 till now, you couldn't pay me to listen to it. So, yeah, you do get tired of listening to this.

I have such wonderful memories of CSNY music..in 1970 I was 18..and also in 1970 their song Judy Blue Eyes was super popular..it to this day brings sadness because I had a good friend I went to high school with.. Judy Ferris was her name, she and her entire family died tragically in a plane crash..they almost made it to Austin Airport but crashed in-between two houses..killed a young couple in one of the houses too..don't know why I'm sharing this story of my youth..I guess it still gets to me to hear that song and remember us as young carefree teenagers hanging out and having fun..so, I pray someday when my name is called I will see you again my sweet Judy..until then.. continue to rest easy my friend 🙏🕊️😞♥️..thanks CSNY ..your the best..✌️

I survived it all without contracting a disease, made 2 lovely children, relish in 2 grandchildren, tried to live Our House twice and no mas, visited Woodstock in recent years, always experience Deja Vu, and in my heart, I'm a Country Girl now living in NYC. Tears well up in love for this time, as confusing as it was politically then, it's even more confusing now. We never got it. Thanks CSNY - you are even more relevant in 2024.

Whenever I hear that opening strumming, I am taken back to the spring of 1970 and my senior year when all we kids who had grown up together were saying our final goodbyes. Final? Not always. I just spent a Sunday afternoon with a guy who I had been in kindergarten with all the way through high school, but not spoken since then. We had a burger and shake at the old burger stand (that has barely survived), and drove around our old dilapidated suburb and right by our old elementary school. I traveled 1,000 miles through a terrible storm (Cyclone Bomb) to do it, and I'd do it again.

I turned 11 in 1970. The war was going on and on. Young people, as seen on TV, in London, NY, and SF, were turning on, and tuning out. Drugs were bad and sex was for married people, but everyone was doing it with everyone else. I walked around with a weed flower I pulled from the grass in my hair behind my ear. My hair went from a John John to shoulder length. FM radio was practically 'underground'. Motown had propelled us metro Detroiters through the Sixties with a sophisticated view of love and relationships, and a love for freedom. This album came out, felt like a set of harmonized annotated footnotes of what the hell had just happened. Joni had come through Detroit. We welcomed her back with her new friends from the coast. I'm almost over it now.

@@tonyallen4265 i was 9, and falling in love with everything life had to offer except racism, war and hate. It was a growing time for everyone, didn't matter the age.. it seemed in slow motion as well as going so fast. But i can't even imagine a ten year duration where life for everyone in the USA and maybe the world for that matter changed so much. (65-75). MOSTLY because what was happening in the world was actually being written and SUNG about!!! IT was being LIVED out with our youth and the music was what drove that or at least was a huge partner in that!!!! GOD bless that it was that way too!! Ever since then I have turned to music (even a career in radio of over 34 years now) and been mostly disappointed in what most artists (?) that reach the heights of popularity that can't even sing (brittney) continue to release as music! Funny thing about labels. The Country music industry of the 70s did not consider this a country song, as good as it was. I mean, if they didn't accept the Eagles before they veered into country rock, then one sees the absurdity of trying to classify something as fluid and ephemeral as music. Often appreciating music, like beauty, is in the ear and mind of the listener.

Fall, Freshman year of college (1970), and Deja Vu playing in the dorm halls pretty much all the time. I put this album on now, at the age of 73, and I can feel myself walking the dorm halls. The early 70's was a very magical time. I was very fortunate to be in college then. But then, 2 years later, "Stairway To Heaven" came out, and I totally blew my stereo speakers, as a result. Pissed me off big time.

We were right back then as we still are today. It was just not the right time. Ahead of our time. But the message rings as clear today as it did then.

We listened to this wonderful album in a small Lvov apartment back in the distant 70s.

I may not be the coolest man on Earth. But when I put this vinyl record on and turn the volume up. All my neighbors think I'm pretty cool

Besides the classic album and as a graphic designer I am, I always loved the cover sepia-toned photo...this is fantastic...the backyard of Crosby rental house taken by Terry Gundelfinger O'Neal...and the anscient and majestic tree is still standing up to this day!!!
