She was a fabulous lady who left a wonderful legacy. She made us laugh. She didn't preach to us about politics. She wasn't on the front of gossip rags with her privates hanging out. She just made us ordinary girls feel like we weren't alone. Hers was a life well lived. I loved growing up with her, Mary Tyler Moore, Betty White, and Carol Burnett. Some of the best role models ever.

This episode was written by Gail Parent who wrote one of my favorite novels that I read in high school: Sheila Levine is Dead and Living in New York. She went on to become a major force in television as a producer, with credits like The Golden Girls. :). And Barbara Sharma is in this too. She was hilarious on Mary Tyler Moore in one episode as a useless waitress and terrible employee Mary hires. Great bunch of talented people.

In 1971, I graduated from JHS. There was a girl who was a big bully. Especially when she had her two friends with her. We went the the same High school. I was leaving the pizza place. She was coming in. We stood together by the door entrance. She waited for me to let her in. I just looked her, stood my ground. She backed away. Never did she bother me again. That was the only best time for me in HS ; the years in HS SUCKED.

Lisa Dawnn...Before the third season of "Rhoda" was produced, the producers thought the character of Rhoda was more likable as a single woman rather than a married. In real-life, Valerie Harper and David Groh received sympathy cards after their characters "separated." David Groh claimed angry viewers sent him hate mail for more than one year after the season ended.

I wonder did Julie Kavner and Valerie Harper remain friends after the show ended . Does anyone know if Julie made any comments regarding Valerie`s death ?
