I have the exact same opinion about the lawsuit. I've never once heard of Rhode clothing until now. This is the first time I've visited the clothing website at all lol. I feel like their brand awareness is higher now.

100%. Obviously still a bummer for them but it’s a different industry…that’s how it goes. I talked to several entrepreneurs in my life and explained the lawsuit, and they laughed at the fashion brand thinking they had any grounds in the first place

Yep, magnetic maple! That’s actually one of the reasons I don’t wear a lot of shadows like this. When they’re taupe on some people they end up looking straight up silver on me for some reason

I think what this brand has done well is: 1: have a point of view, feel innovative or 'on point' 2: but not completely untested or gimmicky but more of basics, having a universality Even the packaging looks gender neutral and 'basic' not in a bad way but in a 'less is more' kinda way. And yeah, I think they didn't anticipate the demand, maybe poor planning because if it was a marketing tactic, it wouldn't be this long a wait.. I hope there is a brand Collab with Rosie Inc, something about these two (the brand image, the owners, the aesthetics, the thoughtful limited releases) just vibe together for me. Or even with Merit.

Perfect timing with this review! I am a huge fan of Dieux skincare and I’m wondering how the moisture level of the thinner Rhode Barrier Restore Cream compares to the thicker Dieux Instant Angel if you’ve tried it (I know you’re a big Deliverance fan, as am I. I don’t mind niacinamide but most moisturizers aren’t enough for me and my dry skin. How does it wear under makeup and as far as sleeping and waking up moisturized? Thanks for helping me out about the lip treatment. I HATE the taste of floral lipsticks, etc and would have absolutely hated that. I can’t even wear my Gucci lipsticks anymore. I was planning to try the salted caramel but I’ll get the unscented thanks to you!

The Rhode cream is thinner than Dieux. I actually find neither are heavy enough for me for might time, I always pop on my glossier after baume on top. But they’re great daytime creams for me

Also feels burning sensation with peptides when my skin is sensitize... Even with my skinfix peptides moisturizer that I love!! My go to repaire my skin is the La roche posey baume b5...

Darn, the unscented lip treatment sold out it less than 6 minutes. I deliberated for a bit too long and by the time I checked out it was gone :(. I'll have to grab it the next time around! @@StateofKait I saw ONE review on their website of someone reporting a "soapy" weird aftertaste, so it seems like a small group of people. Have you tried the fenty lipglosses? Those are one lip product that I remember having an aftertaste I didn't like.

Great review! Thanks for being so thorough. I had to try the peptide lip treatment so I got vanilla. And 1000% agree. I love the feel and texture of the lip treatment but I’m getting that perfume taste that burns your throat. I’m so bummed bc I was super excited to try it. I think I’ll get the unscented though just to give the formula a fair shot.

I've been very curious about this brand, thanks for reviewing! As a fellow sensitive-skin person, I have to ask - how did you successfully incorporate a retinol into your routine? I've heard you mention it in previous videos, and I'm so worried my skin will flip a shit if I try to use one lol. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Well my experience is totally unique to me. I built up a tolerance to my prescription retinoid (epiduo forte) over years of use. Now I can use it every other night with no issue whatsoever. But when my skin is sensitized I have to stop it. If you want to start, get a gentle retinol and apply it on top of your moisturizer once or twice a week and build up from there. Eventually you can start wearing it underneath the moisturizer when your skin is ready

I have such sensitive skin! I have both chronic perioral dermatitis and seborrheic eczema, there's something about a "new" skincare product that sometimes is jus appealing, the possibility to try the "next" big thing that also *might* be a choice for me. Nonetheless, while this one ticks some boxes for me, why try to change what already works for me that is an even better price overall, and belongs to a brand that represents more my values???? Loved this review, it def satisfied my curiosity, but personally I won't be purchasing. To anybody still interested in venturing into a "new" brand that is based in science and doesn't do green washing at all I really recommend Malezia!! Specially to those of us poor sensitive souls that are prone to inflammation. 😝
